  1. hi there guyuk i dont see why you couldnt give it a try. but your best bet is to start your own thread that way you,ll be able to get help just like i did from all the fabulous people that are on this website folk like bookworm and dave are really good they will probably help you a lot more than i could. but yeah mate go for it. i,ll be reading your thread to see how you get on good luck mate:)
  2. hi there folks well my tv started going all wonky just the other week more or less the same problem as before. and i thought oh no i,m going to have to go through all the rigmarol with curry,s again writing letters and phoning them and so forth. but my wife came up with an idea to just phone the tech guy,s instead of curry,s so i gave it a go and guess what they couldn,t have helped me enough they were out to fix my tv the very next day free of charge of course. i haven,t had a problem with it since although the tech guy said because it was the same problem they were obliged to fix it he also said that i had been very unlucky that it had happened to the board they had already replaced and it shouldn,t happen again and if it did i was just to phone them

  4. yeah im hearing what you,re saying but they have just kept coming up with excuse after excuse and given me the runaround and its getting me down and its all this court buisness too
  5. hey its only taken 6 months but eventually i have been offered £845 as full & final settlement they owe me over £1200 plus interest but you know what im really tired of all this so im going to accept and be done with it once & for all. so many many thanks to everyone who has helped me out in the last long long long 6 months.

  8. hi folks i sent a letter asking for refund of charges on 20/12/06 and this is their reply thank you for your letter, received at this office on 4th january 2007 i am sorry to learn that you are unhappy with charges applied to your account. we,re keen to deal with your concerns as quickly as possible. A customer relations manager will investigate the points you have raised and you will receive a reply shortly, but certainly no later than 4 weeks. you will find enclosed a copy of our leaflet, which tells you how we will handle your complaint. your concerns will be dealt with as quickly as possible peter barry customer relations officer
  9. thanks for that alan i think i can only claim £750 at a time anyway as i,ll have to make the claim in scotland so i,ll go for that and get the court to force them to comply at the same time

  11. at last ive got some statements its only taken 3 months and its not even complete its only from feb 2004-feb 2006 these people are really starting to p*** me off. anyway the charges for this period are £1209.00 so can i claim for this and still chase them for the rest of my statements and shall i get a bailiff to do the job for me
  12. yeah they had to replace a board inside tv seemingly theres three big boards and one was faulty but tv is working perfect now
  13. hi everyone recieved a letter from nationwide stating that i was £127.60 overdrawn on my flexi account. But i havent used this account since about december and i know it was in credit at that time. Anyway they have obviously been at their little game of taking charges and its mounted up over the months to £127.60 so i gave them a call and to cut a long story short after quite a lot of argueing back and forth managed to get it reduced to £31 which i have paid and they have closed the account. they then said that was the end of the matter. Well maybe for them it is but can you imagine the shock horror when they recieve my LBA ha! ha! ha! hey i know its only £31 but its mine right
  14. still havent had anything from the bank so have sent a failure to comply letter giving them 7 days or i will seek a court order its been a while as ive been away but im still determined to follow this through
  15. got home to find a message on my phone saying that the tech guys have fixed my tv and they will return it tomorrow and that there will be no charge as a good will gesture so needless to say im absolutely delighted thanks to everyone who helped out and merry christmas

Arrangements will be made for an engineer to visit your home and examine the unit. This servicewill cost £120.00 plus any parts that may be required. If afault is present this office upon receipt of substantiation will refund any payments made.   20. well iv,e had no joy from the shop manager but he did say that i had to get an engineer to assess my tv but that will be more money out my pocket or can i just get him to send them the bill? iv,e also sent a letter to currys head office F.A.O. chief executive giving him 14 days in which to reply
  21. okay folks 40 days for S.A.R. are up tomorrow but got home from work today to find a letter from HBOS dear sir/madam completion of for a list of transactions and charges-account No.xxxxxxxxxxxx Thankyou for your letter requesting specific information on your account with us.   22. yes the tv is only 13 months old and it looks like they expect me to buy a new one but by what ive been told and what ive read i think i,ll get onto them right away thanks for the help
  23. no it broke down just after the warranty that,s when i phoned them and was told they can,t help
