Hi everyone, just a quick question about interest. I sent the SAR letter 11/09/06 and last week 25/10/06 posty delivered 59 envelopes with all my bank statements, he didn't seem too happy!! dont know why they didn't just put them in one big envelope realy!! Anyway my question is this: I've calculated all the charges to date but do I claim for the interest they have charged as well?

Couple of things... When you send the SAR letter asking for a breakdown of the charges, is it 40 working days or just 40 in total?? that you give them to respond, as its coming up to 40 days and I've not had any response whatso ever from the bank... What letter would be next to send them??

Well thats what i thought, but I suppose it saved me buying a stamp, or it should have done, but when I got to the post box i realised I'd forgot to put the cheque in!! what a numpty so i had to come back home and put it in another envelope coz I'd destroyed thiers tryin to open it carefuly then put a stamp on it! Anyway its in the post now so with a bbit of luck they might get it tomorrow, so now it has begun... what a fab site this is!! maybe there is a god after all:lol:

just been down to my local branch of the Halifax, and I couldn't hand it in there, they gave me a pre paid envelope with the following address: Halifax plc PO Box 548 Leeds LS1 1AB So i guess thats where they all have to go! and thats where its heading right now. will keep informed of upcoming events:-D

I'm going after 4 accounts with the Halifax, and will be going in person tomorow with the Subject Access Request form, my question is do i need to give them the £10 for every account so that would be £40 or does the £10 cover them all??? Ta!!

hi there, just a quick one.. I'm going after the Halifax as well for some ridiculous amount, is it your own branch that you send the SAR form to or a main address for the HAlifax??

Gonna get started on my mission but dont know where to send this Data Protection Act request letter, I presume its to my bank?? I looked in the FAQ's but it wasn't very clear where you have to post it. Any hellp would be appreciated:)

So in the next few weeks i shall be putting it all together and start the ball rolling. btw a while ago i was charged £120 in one day!! robbing b******s make no mistake this boys going all the way!! One question ... how far can you claim back??
