Joa, I wasn't suggesting that the result would have been the same if the charge total was higher. Perhaps they refunded the charge because he is rarely late with a payment, perhaps they didn't want to lose his custom, perhaps he was just lucky, who knows! All I'm saying is that it IS still possible to get a charge reversed/refunded without resorting to legal action:) Ok he had to speak to 3 people before he got someone who had the authority to do this but this took less than 5 minutes - well worth it in my book.

Hi I sent my request off last week and yesterday I received the following secure message; The overdraft arrangement that you have with us is due to end on 03/10/2006. After that day, any overdrawn balance on your account will be subject to our unauthorised overdraft charges. If you would like us to consider whether we can arrange a new overdraft limit for you, please contact us by secure message or phone us on 0870(THE BANK) 843 2265. For details of the terms and conditions and any charges that apply to your account, please go to help index: tariffs, t&cs. Please note that we reserve the right to vary our charges at any time, but we will always let you know before they change I've had the account with them for 3 years and this is the first time I've ever had this message! Fortunately I've paid off my overdraft and have no intention of using it, or the account ever again. Is this the norm? Or are they trying to persuade me not to claim my charges back? Thanks
