Thank you for all you replies & help, I will contact the court not sure what one, i'll have to check. Also is it worth emailing them again, stating that the car has nothing to do with my husband & that it is registered in my name? If I can tomorrow I will scan the letter & put a copy on here, obviously blocking out names.

The last letter said that they attended in the company of carriers to remove assets. This isn't true it was one man on his own. It says forced entry can be used, & that it was imperitive to contact the bailiff in order to make a payment. Or that my husband can make an installment arrangement in writing to them, to which this service would incur a fee £50, also if payment was made by cheque this would incur a fee of £11.50. I have emailed the company 5 times now to set up an installment plan, they have not replied to any emails. Also with the last letter was a walking possesions Agreement, listing my car, which is in my name only, not my husbands. My husband has never signed anything.

Thank you, I have put a new thread in that section.

Hello, I hope I might be able to get some advice? My husband has had a letter from a company calling themselves HCE, which is bailiffs called High Court Enforcement. It is regarding a vets bill, which initially we contested with the vets, then heard no more untill they had a claim against us. Anyway these bailiffs have left 2 letter, stating that the removal of assets will take place with or without our presence at the property. The last letter my husband received, included a walking possession agreement with it, listing my car + keys & log book. I'd like to say that the car is soley mine and in my name & nothing to do with my husband at all. Also no one has signed any aggreement. I have emailed the company 5 times requesting an installment plan, as this is stated on their letter. I haven't had a single response. I emailed them as through experience of using this site it is advisable rather than call. Can anyone advise as to what to do next. Thank you

No unfortunately we didn't defend the claim. So it was by default.

Hi I wonder if someone could give some advice please? I have a friend at work who is currently on a temp contract, she has been asked to re-apply for the post she is doing, filling in an application form again and having an interview with 6 others who have also applied for the post. She wasn't informed in writing that this would be the case, only verbally that she needed to fill in an application form. Does this sound right? Thank you

Ok, I will san the document thanks

ok thanks, I must say the paper does look dodgy, & the dates wrong, but I do need to get this cleared up. So I don't get in touch with northampton county court, because that seems to be where all the judgements come from? I go to our local county court, is that right. They are saying we owe 1200.

How do I go about doing all of the above, paying the warrant of execution? thank you
-
Hi, its for £1,200

Hi I wonder if someone can give me advice? I have received, actually it was handed to me a letter addressed to my husband regarding money owed to a well known Vets, the letter states that the person had attended with the intention of removing our goods. It also says that the warrant gives the bailiff the power as a High Court Enforcement Officer to Seize goods up to the value of judgement & added fees. Then goes on to say he will attend again after 15/2/09, this letter was handed to me on Sat 28/2/09. It carries on to say payment must be in full etc & his name & no. I have looked these people up on the web & they are a bailif company. I want to pay this, but can only do so in installments, should I go directly to the Vets themselves? Has anyone else had any dealings with these bailiffs? Hope that all makes sense Thank you Conncat:confused:

misconduct/gross misconduct
conncat replied to conncat's topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
Hi, Along time since i posted on here, but I didn't have anything to report. Untill now. Well After hearing nothing about my hearing from management since this started in March, I received a Letter informing me of a hearing date for the 10th Oct. I couldn't believe it after all this time. Any way I have been off sick, so couldn't attend & they have yet to make another date. But in the mean time I have been offered another job, So I will be handing in my resignation. Also the Head teacher is under investigation, as large members of staff have written letters to the local authority, governors and other senior staff complaining about the Head teachers practices with regard to employing family members, without advertising the jobs, one of the family members was 15 when employed, also for giving a tender for a huge contract to a family member. The local authority are now investigating. So I am so pleased to be out of it. -
misconduct/gross misconduct
conncat replied to conncat's topic in Employment and minimum wage problems
Hi Just thought I'd give another update, well I sill haven't heard a word about my hearing, and now I am on holiday for 6 weeks as we broke up yesterday. I along with other union members were on strike this weds & thurs, & picketed outside my sch, this was a national strike, but my head decided to take it personally & had a go about me to other members of staff that were not on strike, saying that it was my doing, & in the words of other staff members being very bitchy about me. She came out to the picket line & tried to intimidate me, but I said that everything we was doing was legal & gave her a letter stating that. She done this infront of 35 other union members to which I have their support, as they are disgusted by her behaviour. When I returned to work yesterday, she blatently ignored me. -

conncat replied to conncat's topic in Local Authority, Council Tax and Business Rates Issues
ok, I have spoken to the council, have offfered to pay half of the council tax bill which leaves me half to pay, which they have said I can pay in installments starting end of Aug, still quite hefty installments £300 per mnth but they weren't going to budge & they said they wanted it all tied up by Jan, Then I am completely debt free from council tax untill next April. Thanks for the advice I have asked the council to call target to put them off , which they are going to do, but i may also give them a call aswell. -
statutory demand - council tax
conncat replied to conncat's topic in Local Authority, Council Tax and Business Rates Issues
Thanks for your advice, I will call the council, what I was confused about is that they have already posted the demand through the letter box, then got another letter saying they were coming again, the total is for just under £4000, but I have almost half of it to offer them, and then offer a repayment for the rest. I haven't got loads of debt, this is the largest really. -

Just a quick update, Its 2 week since that last meeting I was in & still I haven,t heard when my hearing will be. They have to give me five working days notice, which means even if I receive it tomorrow, that would make it next Thursday & I along with other union members are on strike next wednesday & thursday, and then I break up the next day (friday) for 6 weeks. I just don't know what game their playing. -
statutory demand - council tax
conncat replied to conncat's topic in Local Authority, Council Tax and Business Rates Issues
It is a statutory demand, it says how to comply with the demand to have it set aside, that i have to make an application within 18 days. It also says that i could come to a settlement with the creditor, if i can't pay the debt in full, and to do this there are 2 contact persons. When I phoned target who delivered the demand, they told me to get back in touch with my local authority. confused:confused: -
