  1. Just sent an email to tm accepting as part payment but want the rest also, said if he could offer full amount I would drop court claim. His reply was; 'Thanks for your response. As I said previously, given that you have already started the legal process, the best thing to do is follow that through', Oh Well it worth a try!! Scared now though, wish I would've just accepted offer now
  2. Ok Will just use this thread from now on, I didn't realise, sorry!
  3. I received an offer of £916 two weeks ago and accepted as part payment. I then filed a Moneyclaim on Friday and received another offer from Mr McLean yesterday for £2681 (they owe me £5064 incl. court costs) I know the date for them to reply is 2nd December but if I refuse this offer now when will the court date be for? and also if they defend will it will it take longer. Thanks
  4. I'm sure you can request a cheque. Just ring and speak to somebody else if shes not very helpful. Some of them are like that. Jobsworth!!
  5. I got 152 quid put back in a few weeks ago but it took them nearly two weeks. I just ended up ringing every day and harrassing them til they got sick of me. I told them they are quick enough taking charges out which they had no reply to!! Find out somebodys name in your branch and keep on at them. It worked for me. I do think its because you're fighting them.
  6. Tommy McLean Customer Relations Customer Central Support First Floor The Forthstone 56 South Gyle Crescent Edinburgh EH12 9LE Tel: 0131 523 5116 email: [email protected] Although he told me that he doesnt deal with claims once they go legal. But good luck anyway x
  7. I filed MCOL on Friday and then had an email today from RBS saying that they were going to send out another offer today (they owe me £4800 something and offered me £916 last week). If they offer me the full amount can I cancel or is it too late now?? Thanks
  8. I have just filed my moneyclaim on line and was just wondering how long from now before I will receive my charges back. Does anyone have an idea of the timescale please?????? (Hopefully b4 xmas) Thanks
  9. Cheers, I will ring him later before I file my MCOL.
  10. Hi Biffa1965 I too have been totally frustrated by the Liverpool branch, a lady called Vicky Harban was a total horror, Im now dealing with Tommy McLean (Do you think he'll be kind to me cause we have the same surname!?). Did your wife actually file her MCOL or didn't it come to that? If she did, how long after she filed did she receive payment?? Thanks
  11. RBS owe me £4680 and last week offered me £916 as full and final settlement. I have been told today by my Branch that 'cause I've not accepted in full and final settlement (I accepted as partial payment) that it has now been referred to Head Office in Edinburgh. I sent the LBA on 16.10.06 so the 14 day deadline is up. Should I now email to Tommy McLean to see where they are up to with my claim? or just file the Moneyclaim straightaway??? Thanks
  12. Hi Lyndsey I have just had the same letter from RBS but they owe me £4860 and offered me £916!!!! Its very tempting with xmas around the corner, but its the principle of it. I did the same as you, said i would accept as Partial Payment but I think they will withdraw their offer of £916 so its court proceedings next. The only problem is I havent got the £120 for the court fee until pay day!! Nightmare. Good Luck PM
  13. I have a question..... I sent the LBA to RBS on 16/10/06 and received a call from them a few days later saying they were waiting for copies of my statements (I don't know why because it was my branch and surely they have copies) and that they would be sending a letter out in the next few days. Then nothing for almost two weeks. The 14 day deadline is up today so I rang this morning and was told that a letter was being done today and I would receive it sometime this week. I asked when it was being sent and she said tonight. Shall I just start the moneyclaim or wait until tomorrow and see if the letter arrives??
