Do I just send the standard letter as with the banks stating my charges and interest over the last couple of years??

Advice Please! I have just had a letter back from HSBC saying that they will not refund any interest however they will refund £2000 as I have already had £200 refunded in the past when I have complained verbally about charges and as a good will they have given it me back. However my claim was for £3391. I am not sure if to go through with the whole court thing as have to find £120 before xmas and am really worried that if i do that I will end up with less than they have offered as they reckon that they would be able to defend it in court. What should I do? Any advice from people that have got their money back from HSBC would be greatly appreciated

I sent an initial letter to HSBC (my branch) with a list of charges on 12 Oct - heard nothing, sent a follow up letter on 28 Oct - heard nothing. Should I now just go ahead and make a claim or should I be sending my letters to the head office as opposed to my branch?? Please advise.
