  1. Hi Cmonty You are not the only one who feels dim! I have just put the court claim in for 2500. I feel that I am pretty capable of most things but looking through the process, although bit by bit its clearer, looking at the whole thing in one go looks like an insurmountable mountain!! I write on the calendar when the next step is due because I started all this last year and just let it all slip so had to start again. I got a letter from Abbey at the deadline date I gave them for a court action saying that they are looking into my claim and I should wait a month to hear something while it is being looked into. Then it could be another month if they are busy! I just carried on regardless with the court action. I think the letter was a delaying tactic and I cant afford to wait any more. Good luck and take heart from all the success stories here. Ally
  2. Hi guys Its taken me quite a long time but I have finally got my act together and started the process! I have a couple of questions that I hope someone may be able to help me with.... I am claiming for my business account andmy current account. Will I be able to send both in one envelope to save me having to pay separate court costs for each account.? Also, if I have to send the commercial claim separately does it have to go to a different address to the current account claim.? Hope this is clear Thanks Ally
  3. Thanks Catherinebear, have sent court claim in and Abbey say they will defend so I may well need abit of advice and support soon !

  6. Hi, I'm at the court case filed stage and have received a reply from Abbey saying they are going to defend. They also say that they only received the details of one account (I'm claiming my charges back for my current and joint accounts) from the court when they got the form. I've checked with the court and as far as they are concerned the form and copies of both accounts were sent to Abbey. My question is, do I just ignore their letter or do I send them a copy of both account charges again ? I don't know if this is just a shAbbey trick to delay/distract or confuse me Many thanks for any help
  7. Not really sure how to post on this site, but have received an offer from Abbey for £1000 which is about half of my charges so have sent letter accepting as interim and a LBA for the remainder. Great site and the snowball seems to be gathering pace as people realise it's OUR money we trying to get returned !
