  1. Haydn. I have never had to pay a parking fine in my life, I challenge every one I've ever had. Most recent one, when I went to the Parking Adjudicator, she investigated and agreed that there had not been an 'advisory plate' present when I parked. She found in my favour. I complained to the chief Executive of the City that the warden and his/her boss, having twice stated in writing that the plate was there had obviously been lying. I am about to issue a Small Claim action against the City to recover the expenses their lying cost. Investigate the area in which you have been booked, i challenged and won another where the road had been patched so breaking the 'continuous marking'. Under these conditions another plate should have been errected, it was now two seperate areas. A technicallity but valid. Try that approach and I'll keep the forum advised of my progress. Bob Scott
  2. I joined the forum when it first opened and immediately got the £100 I requested back from F.D. without argument - other than a wee bit of saber rattling from the guy who had to rattle it to keep his job. H.S.B.C. are proving a bit more difficult. I am claiming £750 from them and at my first shot they put £100 into my account, they were told this was presumptious and unrequested. I asked again for the full amount and they popped another £150 into the account. This interferes with a Small Court Claim for the initial full amount but my argument now is that they are unsure of their ground and are trying a disruptive tactic. I'm continuing to press for the full amount and I'll discuss their tactic with them in front of His Honour. Don't anyone be un-nerved by the thought of pursuing an organisation. I messed South Lanarkshire Council about for 6 years finally settling just before a court appearance and I'm just about to start in at them again. (Well the T.V. is crap anyway so it passes an evening).
