  1. Bit of an update for you and request for advice. I sent my request for payment and didnt hear anything in the 14 days then i've sent my LBA which then i got offered £572 which i rejected and have since started my claim online. But i got a letter through the post today saying we have tried to be nice by offering a bit back and you rejected it now you wont get any refund and we are going to fight it all the way. Now should i be worried about this?!!!!!!! they have til the 30th jan to file a defence. Any posts on your views would be great thanks
  2. Got all my statements today guys and girls a total of £669 in charges without the interest. So sending off the next letter today, to get the ball rolling.!!!!! YEAH!!!!!
  3. Got money 1 day last week KEERCHING!!!!!! Thats two claims down and one more to go! Halifax
  4. Can anyone comment on the post above?
  5. I would really stick at your claim and get the full amount back. People swap banks just for the principle. the banks cant just close your account as it's seen as retaliation which is illegal in it's own rights. i've won 1 case already for £796 and they haven't even mentioned closing account down. and i've had the money for 3 weeks.
  6. OK some good news people and some weird as well. On friday 10th november we recieved a letter offering full amount £1594 to be exact. So i replied in letter form the same day accepting offer. YEAH KEERCHING!!! Now the the wierd stuff..... Then today a day later i've recieved a letter from the court saying a defence has been put in and claim has been transferred to my local court. Pretty worrying!!! Anyone got any ideas why and what to do from here???
  7. It's not been that long since i sent my DPA and i was just wondering what the cenus is on how long they take to get to you? i know they have 40 days but do they wait that long because they know whats coming next.
  8. Only a few days left to hear back from dg solicitors before i can start judgement by default. £1500 i can almost smell it, it's that close!
  9. Stupid question may be but who do you make the cheque out to?
  10. KERCHING!!!! A Cheque for £796 recieved and banked satis. just waiting for my other account to catch up now

  12. Can anyone help with my last comment!?
  13. Yes but what about the court do i need to ring them when i have the cheque in my hand or now to tell them whats going on.
  14. Sorry i haven't kept you lot updated been away for two weeks with work. About a week ago i got a letter from dg solicitors offering full amount 796. What should i do now.
  15. I'm exactly in the same position as you don1 and kazzy77. I issued on the 25/09/06 and haven't heard anything accept the acknowledgement. Never been so excited about waiting for the postman in the mornings so much!! Glad i read this thread as i was getting impatient really want my money back ASAP! Least now i know it's something i have/haven't done. They say patience is a virtual but come on HSBC for all of us
  16. Just a quick message to keep you in the picture, the bank acknowledged claim on the 27/09/06 so its just a waiting game for D&G solicitors to contact me offering full amount i hope! the other account has MCOL issued end of this week.
  17. I've just been looking at my account and HSBC are trying to impose another £50 charge on to me for my overdraft. Which is to be taken on the 15 October. Is there any way i can add that on to my claim even though its been issued already?
  18. Hey pep's i did my MCOL yesterday as you may of read but it just say's requested on it. how long does it normally take for them to issue it?
  19. I've issued Mcol today it works out at £796 so its just a waiting game. I've also sent the LBA for the other account.
  20. Thanks again. I'll have to buy you a drink at the end of this after all your help you've given! xx
  21. Think mumofthreeboys has already answered this put i just want to be 100% sure before i do it. My claim im putting to MCOL tmw is £694 plus 8% which is £716.07. Now do i definitely add court fees now? so what i'll be claiming is £836!!!
  22. Tell a lie people just been checking my dates and i've got to issue my MCOL tmw not monday. Yeah even more money for me with the 8% the fools!!!! they should just bite the bullet and pay up in full every time.
  23. Cheers wouldn't know which direction to go if it weren't for you lot
  24. When doing the MCOL i know that you add the 8% to the figure, do you add your legal costs straight away as well? Or do you wait until they say that they will pay the amount in full?
  25. Time for an update! Im sending my LBA letter for my second account today, but what i really need is advice for my first account. I'm due to submit my MCOL on monday but yesterday i got a letter dated 20 Sept from Mr Longdale offering me £500 ( original claim £694 ). It also went on to say that if i proceeded to court they believe they would be successful and resist any legal challenge. Now are they saying that just to try and scare me off? If so, should i ignore the letter and stick to my schdule and issue MCOL on monday or send letter accepting part payment and issue MCOL, or one rejecting offer. Any feed back is taken with gratitude thanks guys.
