  1. Thanks Dickeggsy, will start prepping the bundle and statement of evidence today
  2. Cheers Peter,that looks a good statement,will post tomorrow
  3. Received court date this morning,March 23.getting a bit nervous now....... The letter states...."Each party shall deliver to every other party and to the court office copies of all documents on which he intends to rely at the hearing no later than 31st January 2007. A statement by each of the parties and any person who is to give evidence must be filed and served by 31st January 2007 and inspection of the documents be by the 9th February 2007." I am assuming that the first paragraph refers to my schedule of charges (that everyone already has multiple copies of) but the statement referred to in the second paragraph?? What do they want me to say? I would really appreciate any help, because I don't have a clue what they mean, and I am really hoping that barclays decide to settle before court.
  4. hello again hollydoll, got my court date for the day after yours, good luck. no idea about the prelim hearing, bit nervous to be honest, will it get that far????
  5. Happy new year everyone! Still waiting for a court date, though they cashed the £100 cheque i sent with the AQ. Meanwhile i have started proceedings for a friend of mine to help her regain her charges, its against abbey, and i was wondering if she can reclaim the monthly interest charged on her being overdrawn, this is not the actual penalty charge? Anyone help???
  6. Got the AQ through the post yesterday,my case has been transferred to portsmouth county court, not the one in wales that i have been hearing about. Can anyone tell me what the £100 pound charge is for?could do without that over christmas! Got to admit,am starting to feel a little nervous over the whole court thing....
  7. Barclays filed defence just in time,so now its down the AQ route, still no confirmation by post, but have heard that court dates are in excess of two months! Wonder why?
  8. Again, last minute action by barclays. They've filed their defence at the last possible minute. Am waiting for the paperwork through the post,I expect it will be the usual template stuff with a court date set months away! Will let you all know...................
  9. Barclays acknowledged the claim just before midnight (Surprise!!!!) so according to mcol,Barclays have untill 28 days from the date the claim was served to enter thier defense, which is the 6/12/06 by my calculations. Also, I have recieved a letter stating that Barclays have withdrawn their goodwill offer of a grand if i plan to persue the rest of the claim through the courts....Oh well, I can wait.I will not be put off from getting my money back!
  10. Barclays have had until today to file their defence, nothing has appeared in the post or on mcol, should i wait a little longer or what?
  11. Cheers, seems to be a sensible path to follow.
  12. Thank you Welshman, looks like i'll just have to bite the bullet on that one then, cheers
  13. Sorry to butt in on this thread, but the answer to my question will be of interest to PKea i'm sure... I have filed my claim with MCOL,barclays have yet to file thier defence, but they have sent me the goodwill gesture letter...... Since filing my claim, barclays have sent me another paid referral,do i still keep adding these charge to my claim,or is it too late?
