I can report a very similar experience with MBNA... It couldn't have been easier. After going through my statements, I made an arbitary calculation of £48 owing in interest charges on top of the £395 penalties. They even calculated what the true interest charges were and are giving back more than I asked for! They are however closing my account... But that's no great loss! Jon
