  1. Is there any need? I feel bad enough as it is. I made a mistake, I thought what I did on the MCOL website was me filing a defence, it's me who's going to have to pay, the sarcasm above says more about you than it does me!
  2. I thought I was filing a defence on the MCOL website Your acknowledgment of service was submitted on 09/11/2023 at 11:28:38 Your acknowledgment of service was received on 09/11/2023 at 12:05:09 A judgment was issued against you on 13/12/2023 at 19:08:38
  3. Hi, I did everything that was advised above. They sent me loads of photocopies of paperwork in an 'Evidence Pack'. Today I received a letter (attached) giving notice of 'Judgement In Default'. I went on the MCOL website and informed them that I intend to defend all. I presumed this was me filing a defense, I think I'm incorrect in hindsight and should have filed a defense Is there anything I can do? ELS - you now has a judgement in default.pdf
  4. So, I ignored their letter asking me to name the driver and heard nothing - UNTIL TODAY!! Claim form letter has arrived (attached). Do I: Ignore, or respond saying I intend to defend all of this claim. Mrs Flibby is on my back worried that we will get a knock on the door from some heavies and is insistent that we just pay it, but I don't want to. Parking Claim Form.pdf
  5. I sent the letter immediately and got a response letter, asking if I would like to nominate the driver Presume I just ignore? ELMS.pdf
  6. This is what I intend to send this time: Your Ref: XXXXXXXXXXXX Regarding the above matter. This is the second letter sent telling you to stop wasting your time sending letters to me. East Midlands Airport is not considered "relevant land" as defined in the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and as such you are not liable as the registered keeper of the vehicle, and that they will need to take the matter up with the driver involved. Yours Thoughts?
  7. Hi, despite sending a 'snotty letter' as advised, I have recently received this letter from a recovery company called 'ELMS Legal. A quick Google search tells me what these people are like, but what would you advise is my next step?

  9. Thank you all, really appreciate the feedback. Can I just confirm, the best thing to do is completely ignore any correspondence from these people?

  11. Hi, bit of advice please? I was picked up by my partner at EMA. We weren't parked on the road, we stopped on a piece of waste ground between a car park and the road. I noticed signs, but to read them you would need to stop anyway. I have since received the attached Charge Notice, which I haven't replied to yet, my questions are: Should I appeal? If so, on what grounds? Does anybody have a template that has been used before? Thank you in advance 2023-05-25 VCS PCN incident 15-5-23.pdf
