  1. No idea, but you can either contact the BBC news dept and they will give you the reporters name and number and/or contact the Pub Landlords association or the maybe the breweries themselves as they seem to own nearly all the pubs in the UK now.

Sorry I couldn't be of any further help, but I'm sure a little bit of informed search work will yield the results you're looking for bud.

  2. Indeed.....a grateful thanks regardless....the effort of all the site team and BankFodder too is and was without parallel.

The fight still goes on and I for one with Banky will hopefully be pushing forwards. Mind you it looks a lot easier because it's Abbey I'm dealing with so.......onwards :D

  3. Hi BankF

Bothy my cases are in the High Court (apparently) and my claim is historically with Abbey.

In their T&C's covering the entire periods of my claims and in their original defence they state very clearly, "that the charges levied are administrative costs...."

I take it as said that this would be a clear case of mis-representation and a good avenue for continuing my claims?

  4. Hear hear Ken.........spot on and I won't even say I'm right behind you....I would like to think that all us CAGgers stand shoulder to shoulder and in a perfect line! :D

I agree with this "Fog-Of-War" business but hopefully if we don't get to pick our battleground and battle then we should at least be able to match the Banks blow for blow.

I had some encouraging news this morning regarding my N244 application to the Harrogate Courts nearly a week ago asking the Court to lift the stay and for permission to submit an amended POC withing 2 weeks of my draft order being officially accepted and sent. This in theory gave me between 3-4 weeks from Friday last week to see if an amended POC will be posted up here. Either way it doesn't really matter as this morning I received a letter from the Court stating:

" I am writing to your application filed in this case on 28th Jan 2010, the application was reffered to Judge XXXXX who also asks that a draft of the proposed amended POC be attached to the application. On receipt of the amended POC the application will be reffered back to the District JUdge"

So I have even more time and I can now relax insofar as having unclenched my rear and I now have 2 buttocks! :D

My Court suffice to say appears to appreciate (I hope) the issues here?

    Fingers crossed.

  5. I really wish I knew Caro......

However, the upside is that I have a little more time and the Leeds Courts will have to issue directions regardless so I might still get a notice of a further CMC.....we'll just have to wait.

On the plus-side they haven't entertained a reply by a date or a strike-out will be done letter?

Stay tuned to the next thrilling episode of "The Frenchy Connection".....if only I could join the dots to where these transferences will lead? :D

  6. Ooooooooo ooooooo shock of shocks......

Just received a letter from the Leeds Merc Courts today and in it it says....

That the claim be transferred from the Leeds Merc Courts back to the Leeds County Courts.

That's it.....no mention of stays or whether it's in the High Court or Small Claims...or anything else.

I'll think I'll write to the Court to ask if the case can be re-transferred back to my local Court or at the very least back to the Harrogate Courts (the original local Court)

    I was expecting a further CMC.....or maybe that's next?

  7. Fergal.....calm down bud :D... the FOS may be rejecting the arguments of CCa and UTCCR but theyt are not the LAW. Only a Court can decide on these things.

Whilst the FOS can rule on disputes, the Banks in these cases don't have to follow them or uphold the FOS's decision...did you know that?

Only a Court of Law can enforce or correct an opinion, and that's all these regulatory bodies can do, give opinions.

  8. Strewth....well nothing for it, I'm having to to pay for an application to unstay my claim otherwise it will be struck out on the 1st Feb 2010.

As such to save me from having to fork out 2 x £75 fees in raising applications I will be submitting my amended POC at the same time.

Just got very very tired and frustrated at having to wait, then wait, then wait some more with any assistance in submitting a new/amended POC.

I have formulated a new POC, just need it checking.

Can anyone assist as I will be in the Courts to submit the new POC before Friday. Help anyone? :D
