  1. Ok thanks man - I had to laugh at your terms and conditions comment. Looking at section 5 - tptb tell us it is mandatory to use the ujm, it doesnt seem right they should be allowed to have such a disclaimer - basically saying we have told you that you have to do this but if you end up in any kind of trouble because you used it, because we made you use it and because we didnt vet the jobs properly, we deny any responsibility and you are on your own.
  2. It says "I have read the Universal Jobmatch Standards of Behaviour" - I've put the full text at the end of this post. I think you are right re tweaking the web site as I'm sure there are less parts accessible now than there were - eg after selecting "I have already applied for this job" on a job page it takes you back to the standards of behaviour page which I'm sure didn't happen before. Edit: I'm sure when other sites like paypal and tesco update their terms etc they draw attention to what the changes are, but ujm haven't and I don't think you can access the original version of the terms. Also I dont remember ticking anything to say I had read or agreed to any terms before the change. I noticed that it says that the page was last updated last march, I wonder why they are requiring a tick this much time after the change. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Universal Jobmatch website – Standards of Behaviour for Jobseekers The Standards of Behaviour have been updated. 3. I'm not sure if this has been discussed already, I couldn't find anything else on the site. When I log into UJM now it asks me to tick a box to agree to a new standards of behaviour page. You can bypass this by using the menus at the top to do a jobsearch. Is it okay to tick and agree or is there anything hidden in the wording to suggest it isnt ok (like not ticking the famous two boxes giving consent/access to JCP staff)?
  4. Thanks for that. With signing off and not saying why, wouldnt the JCP know what job you have taken though when the new employer requested a P45?
  5. I like this! Will it still work if getting a temporary (eg 6 month) job, would there be problems when reconnecting with the work programme after?
  6. Is there anything more recent available about the legality of covert recording? The link from this post appears to a little inconclusive. If they don't know about a recording device, would you have to be honest with them if they asked if you had one - and if not, would it later be a problem if you said no but wanted to use the recording against them later for something? Would you still be able to record Ingeus meetings even if they found out and didn't want you to? Thanks in advance.
