I don't know your history layer cake, can't find it on this thread but did you buy a property in Dubai by way of mortgage and then leave and default? And so the morgage provider have now placed a charging order on your UK owned property?

Understood. So not sure how they could have placed a 2nd charge on the property without the owner finding out in someway or another, especially if it has to be granted by courts.

I am wondering how they can place a charge on a property without Firstly notifying land registry and then land registry notifying the owner. Also if there is a mortgage on the property surely the mortgage company will be informed and then inform owner?

was it even a SD? If so, the 18 days you have to reply to have it set aside must almost be up?? I have asked them for certain information regarding the debt, and 3 weeks later I am still waiting for a reply/acknowledgement from them. -

But if you have a foreign judgement supplied with the Statutory demand, how can you get it set aside?
