  2. Indeed. I have had yet another letter through the door yesterday warning of an impending "home visit", so that is yet more money that they will waste. This agent of theirs will be refused access to the property in question and be instructed to leave by the most convenient route.

I'm in half a mind to write to John Hales, enforcement manager, Leicester reminding him of the penalties that could be imposed by the courts for harassment by himself or any of his agents. eg: Up to 6 months imprisonment, and/or a £5000 fine; or. punishable in the crown court with up to 5 years' imprisonment and an unlimited fine. But unfortunately, Capita do not publicise the address of the Leicester office...

Your in leicester too mr p. Ive had letters for the last 2years and no one has ever been

  3. Hi

I have so many questions but in a nutshell my problem is this.. I signed on as usual today for JSA but due to health problems I want to transfer to ESA, I am pretty sure I can get a note from the doctor but am concerned about my HB payments. I normally get them on Saturdays, along with my JSA payment, the next one being this Saturday, if I sign off JSA today or tomorrow then they might not pay me the money as usual on Saturday? Is this right? Would I be better waiting until Monday to end my claim?

Worried about how long it will take to get next lot of money as some people say its straightforward and others say it takes ages..... also does anyone have any idea how long the wait for an assessment is in the Portsmouth area, I know it varies from place to place and at certain times of year but as was on ESP then back to jobsearching after sicknote ran out a month ago I can't help thinking they might say those 3 months count as assessment period?

You will probably still receive the hb as they normally send it about 3 days before and then the bank clears it. Also I think once you sign on they press a button to trigger the payment as that takes a few days to clear as well.

  4. Hi my husband applied for an extension of stay using application flr fp on the grounds of having a British partner he received a letter yesterday saying: thank you for you application to stay in the uk, your application has issues relating to the European convention of human rights therefore it falls outside our normal service standards we will make a decision as quickly as possible. I just wondered what it means falls outside our normal service standards. Will it take longer than normal to get a decision? Thanks

  5. Did the landlady protect the deposit via tenancy deposit scheme, you can check if they did by checking the deposit schemes through the gov website just search tenancy deposit scheme on google it is a legal requirement from April 2007 that they have to protect it if not you can take them to court and get the deposit back and compensation, on the other hand If they did protect it you can place a sort of appeal through the scheme and they will decide if you can get it back.

  6. No problem. It's late now so if he turns up I'll call the 999 for breach of the peace. Can't see me getting much sleep now tonight :|

hi kittynour I don't think he will turn up tonight as there's rules regarding when they can come and enforce which they can only enforce between 6am-9pm if they come outside these hours and take goods you can apply to the court to get them back, if I understand correctly.

  7. hi a couple of days ago I moved out a rented property that I lived in for 3 years and was on a periodic tenancy and I haven't received my deposit back and the landlords agents said I will get it back once the landlord has inspected the property but they didn't say when, is there a time scale that they have to pay it back by? thank you

  8. Hi guys,

Wondered if anyone has any info on this. I was offered door work last year through a friend but I lacked an SIA and I asked Ingeus about training for an SIA and they never got back to me.

Fast forward to recently, well I've been offered work by my friend again this year but again I lack an SIA. However another guy who was on a course with me told me the job centre paid for his SIA (Or helped him fund it can't remember).

Does anyone have any info about this?

It's pretty much guaranteed work for me if I could get hold of a licence.

if you are under 25 and unemployed you can get a grant from princes trust it's called development award. one of the things the grant can pay for is the sia licence.

  9. Hi Guys, Last week I called the DWP to transfer from JSA to ESA. This morning, I received my ESA Customer statement. I am just a little confused about what to do now?

In the Statement it states "We require evidence to support your claim. Please provide us with documents to support your claim"

What documents do they mean? It doesn't state in the letter what they are. I hope this doesn't sound a stupid but do they mean sick note which I haven't provided has yet or my P45?

    Appreciate your help guys...Thanks Tom

it might be the sick note , but it's best to ring them and ask.
  10. Yes I eventually got through to the department, turns out it was to do with the bank holiday payments are going in late, lines were jammed from 9am only got through a few minutes ago, thank you for your help!!

no problem, glad you've sorted it.

  11. thank you for the reply, I'm just concerned as I had until the 18th to reply which is why I sent it back as soon as possible, the letter with the review form said they would terminate or suspend the claim if they hadn't received the form by the 18th so wasn't expecting to not receive anything today, just worried me a bit.

did you manage to speak to someone?

  12. HI, this is my first post on here but I need some help with an issue, I received an Income Support Review form in April which I sent back and received a letter saying there was no change to my payment. Then last week I received a phone call from Head Office saying I had been randomly selected for a review. I received the form last Wednesday and returned it on the Thursday. My income support payment was due in today but I have checked with the bank and no payment has been made. I live in Northern Ireland and the banks were closed on Saturday and Monday so I was thinking this could be the reason but also I was wondering do they stop your money while they review you. The guy from Head Office didn't mention that and was also very helpful on the phone so I had no reason to think there was a problem. I have spoken to the bank and they say they have definitely not received any payment. I have to wait until 9am to ring the social security office but could anyone here give me any advice in the meantime? Many thanks.

also some benefit enquiry lines open at 8am not sure about Northern Ireland though.

hi my friend was sent a review form and she didnt receive it so they stopped her payments when she hadn't sent it back, she rang and explained she never recieved it, so they said they would send her a new one and they put her money in later that day which she recieved by 5. maybe they haven't recieved your form yet or they have but it's not been processed at their sorting department, if you call and they say its that tell them you've sent it off I'm sure they should pay you.
  14. If leave to remain is granted on "right to a private life" ground, I think there is a fee to pay and I'm not sure about legal aid for the solicitors fees and disbursements. Like I said this is a specialist area and quite complicated. Its also quite a long winded process. Could he not move in with a friend for a while, so that she can claim benefits ad a single parent.

he wouldn't do that she don't like being on her own and the area she lives in is not that safe so it's always good to have a man there. I guess she will just have to see what the welfare rights have to say.

  15. I see, has she appealed, they may have applied the rule incorrectly. They have certainly clamped down on benefits for immigrants, but she isn't an immigrant. Its a bit like stopping her statutory maternity pay because her partner is an immigrant.

Also, has she concidered my comments in post #19.

she's appealed but they still said no , they are going to a solicitor in London he is very good and about the other solicitor I think they will just leave that it's to much hassle, she don't wanna go back where she worked they treated her crap when she told them she was pregnant and going on maternity.
