ok so just an update on this. Back when i got the ticket in december i made an informal appealed using the .gov website and i never heard anything back until yesterday! 5 months later. the letter said they are cancelling the ticket WIN!

i started from the top of the street and walked all the way down. no CPZ sign. take a look on the street view link i posted.

i have been up and down the road and their are no CPZ signs.

I'm starting to wonder if the parking bays are incorrectly marked anyway, which if they are would mean no offense occurred. From what I understand if a parking bay starts and ends with a double transverse line then it must have single transverse lines markings for individual bays, but for a continuous bay (without transverse lines marking out the bays) it should start and end with a single transverse line not double. If I am right, then by parking in a continuous bay that starts and ends with double transverse lines is an invalid parking bay, meaning parking can not be enforced in incorrectly marked areas?

i was just thinking that because the roads markings were gone that i wouldn't have a problem.
