  1. but surely our insurers have nothing to do with it,the woman who hit us has admitted liability already, her insurers contacted us saying they will come on tues to pick our car up for inspection and give us a courtesy car whilst this is happening,im thinking that when our insurers contacted the other womans insurers they then contacted carpenters solicitors to act on our behalf reguarding our whiplash claims, but after seeing all the bad history the company has id sooner use my own family solicitors and also the 3rd partys insurers also contacted us saying dont use any other company as they will deal with any compensation without the need for us to go to anyone else???
  2. i would check your insurance documents as on my policy it has a jewelery clause which states the insurers which in my case is axa will only pay out if, 1),the jewelery is stolen of your person ie you get robbed, 2),if the jewelery is in a safe, if non of these happened then my insurers wont pay out for jewelery, also reciepts or valuations will be needed. also dont feel uncomfortable about being made out as a liar....its a known fact that they treat every claim as a fraud, but they do make you feel as though your the one who has burgled your own house
  3. thanks, the 3rd party insurers have already contacted us and said they are collecting our car for inspection and giving us a courtesy car whilst this is happening,it must of been tescos (our insurers) that give carpenters our details, but not yet signed anything and after reading all the bad hype about them i would sooner use my own family solicitor as i think this would be a much easier, smoother and quicker route to go down, also even the 3rd partys insurers (e-sure) called and said they will deal with it rather than go through any solicitors, very confussing
  4. hi and thanks for your reply, i just googled them and seen the forum, and jesus am i soo glad idid
  5. we have just had a accident were the 3rd party hit us from behind, she has already admitted liabilitty and her insurance company have already said theyre coming to pick our car up for inspection on tuesday, carpenters solicitors have made plenty of "friendly" contact by phone and said they are sending paperwork to us to be signed and posted back, these have not been recieved yet so my question is, can i refuse to sign and use my own family solicitor
  6. hi all, ive read alot of bad things about carpenters solicitors being involved in insurance claims or not really getting involved, we have just had a rear end smash and the 3rd party has already admitted liabillity, carpenters called and sound very nice and said they are sending forms out for us to sign, before we do can we go through our own family solicitors......please help
