I've just received my First Direct statement and I'm furious with the £66 of bank charges for being over our overdraft limit by £3!! This happened at the end of May and was due to our automatic trfs from other banks crediting slightly later than usual and during this time a DD came out. I've complained by phone but they were not interested. Outrageous...from the bank that loves to promote itself as the most recommended! To clarify there was a bank holiday at the end of May which caused the credits from my partner and I to go in 1/2 days later than usual.
