  1. Another update. I received a letter from Uncle Bryan advising me he's pulled out and no longer represents AG. I sent in my defence to the court 2 weeks after the court claim, denying all knowledge of the claim as there was no paperwork at all. He sent me a large wad of papers, some blank ( I won't be paying for those Bryan, if you do happen to ask) 2 days before the court due date, probably hoping my defence would be late. That's all I know so far, nothing from the court yet.
  2. Hi all, back again. So apart from the one letter from BC regarding my CPR31 request. I've heard nothing. The claim is dated 26 July, I've acknowledged the court, so I have 28 days from that date I'm assuming. Do I now send BC a letter telling them that I intend to ask the court to strike the case? Also do I need to send the defence form back to the court soon? Thanks in advance.
  3. Another update. Received a reply from BC in response to my CPR31.14 request. Looks like another standard letter stating: 'practice direction 7C point 1.4 (3A) eliminates the requirement to attach the documents to the particulars of claim issued by the court' also 'It was the original creditors policy to issue agreements on or around the date of the contract, the claimant also believes a notice of assignment was sent to you in or around the time of the assignment and therefore in this regard we ask you to refer to your own records' It all seems pretty wishy washy and sounding like they don't have any agreement or assignment. Also it now looks like I have two seperate people chasing me for the same debt. What should my response to BC be?
  4. Cheers Brigadier, I'm pretty sure they've got the wrong creditor. I'll bang the letter off and see what comes back.
  5. It says the original creditor is HSBC. I've never had an account with them, only First Direct, which I payed off when I changed banks. I'm getting confused now
  6. Hi all, an update. Nothing back from Bryan Carter so far. But I did receive a letter today from MK Rapid Recoveries today, stating "Regardless of our attempts by telephone and letter (Never happened) we still have not received your offer of payment. Please call us blah blah (No thanks) It seems to make sense now, the default on my CRA file is to Mkdp Llp who are at the same address as this bunch. So I'm assuming they are the original buyer of the alleged debt. Any ideas?
  7. Exactly the same as mine. I signed up on Equifax yesterday, to find out what they're chasing. It would seem it's a default of £303 on Mkdp Llp in February 2009 Which I assume is Capital One?
  8. Cheers, Brigadier. Should I wait for a reply to my CPR31.14 request from Carter? Or just bang off your letter as well? Also by returning the acknowlegment of service to the court, have I admitted that the alleged debt may be mine or am I just acknowledging that I will defend?
  9. I should add I moved to a new address a few year ago, so I'm not sure if they actually know it's me, so to speak.
  10. Thanks Brigadier. I'm not entirely sure to be honest. It may be bank charges with interest on a Lloyds current account I had. Or it could be a Capital One card I defaulted on around the same time, when I was made redundant. The claim just states I have an agreement with Arrow Global, where I agreed to pay monthly instalments but have failed to do so. I've never had any contact with Arrow Global.
  11. Hi all, Newb here. I'm in the same position as a lot of other posters, having received a claim form from Bryan Carter/Arrow Global through Northampton CCBC on Friday. Having read through some of the threads on on here, I've sent off the acknowledgment of service to the court and sent a CPR31.14 request to BC from the template I found on here. The sum is £299 +£15 court fee + £50 solicitors costs, with no interest claimed. What happens next? p.s. I signed the CPR31.14 request, I hope I didn't make a boo boo there.
