  1. I am still totally baffled as to what is going on?! It seems that LBL are basically still trading albeit under the guise of a company they have sold the debt to? It seems worse than before but I am not sure I fully understand everything
  2. Pavement protection insurance? I thinking you might be barking up the wrong tree here to be honest but thanks for the input
  3. Yes I knew I was due for repossession, however it isthe manner in which they have gone about it that has shocked me. I am quite embarrassed now the whole street knows that I have debts Down to him letting them know he was here to reposess my car. I would like to do something about it but I am not sure to what extent my neighbours would back me up in so far as witness testimony etc
  4. Just what the neighbours told me he was saying, he went inside one of their houses, but I dont have anything much to do with them. Why do you ask?
  5. Yesterday whilst at work my girlfriend rang me to say there was a guy in a recovery truck at the door saying he was here for my car (it's safely tucked away so no worries about that). I did expect him to be pushy but what he did was fairly shocking and indicative of the reason they are being pulled 1st he knocked on every neighbour in my streets door saying I was in serious debt and did I still drive a certain colour/make of car. He then told my mrs he was going to have me arrested for theft of my own car (?) and he then rang me. He told me to give up the car or be locked up, obviously thanks to this site I was wise to what he was up to and I said you can't have me arrested it's a civil matter. He then said the police would take his side. I mentioned that LBL no longer had a credit license as of 17th May which he said is untrue, but he wouldn't answer when I asked if NR had been banned from acquiring new customers, they could simply chase old debts. He said that they could just sell the book come May and I would still get my car taken. I mentioned that selling the debt to HIllesden Securities would render the BOS void which he didn't reply to I asked him if he had a court order via text but he did not reply, and I then asked him to forward the details of the court order on so I could verify it, and if it was vaild I would give him the car, but he would not The way these people do business is shocking, he even claimed he was a bailiff with powers to enter my home if he could not get the car. The sooner these lot are gone the better. I am happy to settle the debt, but it will be on my terms and not theirs! I just thought I would share this so people know they are still up to their old tricks
  6. I have just phoned them and they said as far as they are aware the bills of sale are NOT null and void but they don't know too much at the moment. They asked me to send an email and they will research/clarify the point.
  7. I think we can safely assume that they will appeal as whilst they are trading like they are they are making lots of money. I thi k they will also start being a lot more ruthless in taking people's cars as soon there will be no company to sue for wrongfully taking the veichles without a court order. What would you do if you had a LBL and they do appeal then AC?
  8. I have read through everything, but I am not sure where this leaves you if you currently hava LBL? Do you carry on paying? Can they still come and take your car from your drive? I can see it is very good news, but not sure where us current customers stand
  9. I didn't seen this reply m8 thank u, this is what I was worried about as the settlement figure if I paid it back now (6 months in) is still almost twice what I borrowed, meaning almost all will go to lbl
  10. I have done a HPI check and logbook loans does come up, so I'm not sure where this leaves me as far as being covered as well as who will get any insurance payout? I thought with HPI it goes to the lender as u say, not sure if it same for lbl?
  11. I hope that's the case, as I can buycanother car with the payout then just carry on with the loan, has anyone had any experiences in this situation? Thanks
  12. Come across thismforum googling my dilemma, very helpful so far! I have got a logbook loan on my car, and I have crashed it and I think it's going to be written off This has given me 2 problems: 1) is my insurance still valid? (I haven't told them I have a lbl and don't intend to) 2) if it is and they payout, who will get th money? Many thanks in advance for any help I'm at my wits end :'( Dave
