Hey Old Bloke You and I can be letter buddies if you want? My LBA is going recorded today too - I too can't quite believe I'm brave enough to do this, but here goes ...

Spurred on I have printed out today the LBA to mail off. I've done the first two steps without much trepidation, and have £625 of charges totted up (although maybe £30 worth was within six years when I requested my statements, but is not now, IYKWIM). I'm just a bit edgy that Barclays seem to be the least receptive of all the banks. Fingers crossed someone wipes the floor with them before I end up going to court. I can't believe the amount of charges they let people accrue. When I think what purgatory I was going through when they were dipping their sticky fingers in.

Hey Maforduk Since you were the one that spurred me on (don't know why you particularly, but there you go) my statements arrived today. I'm going to go for the full whack even if they offer half, since it's my money. £625. Imagine what I could do with that! Good luck with it - am just off to find which letter to send now!

how come you didn't send them £10 to start with? I'm just drafting my first letter to ask for data and the template I have includes a bit saying "I enclose ..." did you just skip that bit?
