Yep, just phone up your bank and cancel the Direct debit, as i say you have to be aware that the companies will reg this with credit agancies, and the sooner you can come to some arrangement to pay them back the better, but if they are not listening to you they have left you very little option, your home must come first.

Cancel your cards, NOW! then get new ones. Although this is not a long term answer it will give you breathing space. The companies cannot take monies from your accounts without a valid card. Obviously if you then don't come to an arrangment with the companies, that may have long term issues, but for a short term answer CANCEL THOSE CARDS NOW!!! If any of the banks pay out, you can get the money returned by the bank, because they have honored a defunct card, the only way that the companies can then get monies from your account is if they have a Direct debit, or to start taking other action which can take months, years, but off course affects your credit rating.
