  1. I just can't get a response from them. They don't reply to any emails. They don't have a postal address listed and they've blocked my account so I can't even make token payments.
  2. All sorted apart from MiniCredit, does anyone have an email? All I'm getting are text messages, I want to make a token payment, but not using my debit card.
  3. Payment to Cash Genie will be made tomorrow, still no news from Mini Credit.
  4. Quick update, MiniCredit are slapping on charges left right and centre, and not answering my emails. How else can I contact them, I'm not ringing an 0870 number. QuickQuid are being a bit funny too, I paid £38.77 and now they say I have to pay the rest of the interest, about £25.00 before I can go on a payment plan, but it has to be today, I emailed back saying it wasn't going to happen.
  5. Wonga are now on board, albeit for £2.06 more each month that I requested, but I can live with that. 2 down, 2 to go.
  6. Despite being told by Quick Quid that they don't accept Paypal, they have funnily enough sent me 4 Paypal invoices. I've paid one for £38.77, which is this months payment. I expect I'll hear from them on the 15th when they don't receive the full balance, despite being told numerous times that this is the only payment plan I am willing to enter into. Not heard anything back from Wonga as yet, and still zilch from Mini Credit. Some email addresses here that may help. 7. Sillygirl I'm really sorry you feel this way, but many of us don;t have the luxury of being able to trawl through threads to seek clarification. Maybe it should be made a sticky, and then other forum members can direct people there.
  8. I'd also like to know this too. It's quoted often on these pages but not with a full explanation of why.
  9. Quick Quid want me to pay the interest today, plus the default fee, since the actual loan isn't due until the 15th. I told the I'll pay the £38.77 as outlined in the email I sent to them, I'm still waiting for this link to pay.
  10. Is it worth asking for a copy of their complaints procedure before I make a complaint? Also I have heard nothing at all from MiniCredit. Cash Genie on the other hand have been fantastic, accepted a payment plan on my terms, due to start on 15th September.
  11. It is in the terms and conditions as a missed payment fee. I only missed the payment because they have not agreed to a payment plan. I have contacted them and they stated that the account must go into default before they consider a plan, which means they are forcing me to take a late payment fee.
  12. I've clicked both links but can't see where to make a complaint. Also what do I actually say? Something along the lines of I have contacted them and they are refusing to implement a payment plan?
  13. Quick Quid and Wonga have both emailed today. Quick Quid have added a £12 dishonor fee. Am I right in thinking that I don't pay this? I have agreed to pay £38.77, which comes off the interest, they're sending me a payment link. Wonga have ignored my previous correspondence regarding a repayment plan, I've forwarded the email I sent on the 30th outlining my payment plan proposal.
  14. Hi, where did you get the information about not charging a default fee if you have requested a payment plan before you default.
  15. I need some help, I have seen on here somewhere that if you have requested a payment plan before you have defaulted they cannot charge you a default fee. Where is the legislation that says this?
  16. They wanted me to pay £175.50 a month, but I can only afford £38.77 so I'm going to have to default. They wont even let me make any token payments in the mean time. I could post them a cheque I suppose. According to OFT Debt Collection Guidance July 2003 (updated December 2006) section 2.10D, companies can not add charges as a penalty for non payment, other than to cover the real costs of collections activity. I've moved all my banking activity over to another bank, so even if they tried to take a payment, there's only £0.30 in there anyway. As far as I'm aware they can keep taking from a new debit card on the same account, this happened to me a few years ago with phone insurance.
  17. I contacted Quick Quid by live chat, but they have said i have to default before they can set up a repayment plan. Is this correct? I thought they couldn't issue default notices.
  18. Wonga sent this email this morining. Hi StarFang, We hope your cash advance was useful! We know how hectic life can be, so this is a reminder that we will be collecting £580.64 from your debit card on 02 Sep 2011. Please ensure enough funds are in the bank account linked to that card as a failed collection would result in a missed payment fee of £20, which is the last thing we want to happen! Keeping our trust As soon as we have taken your repayment, you`ll be able to apply again next time you need a short-term cash advance and keeping your promise means your Wonga trust rating will increase. This improves the likelihood of future approval and boosts your credit limit. Also remember that repaying your Wonga loan on time does wonders for your credit rating! What if my circumstances have changed? If you know the full amount will not be available for an unexpected reason, you can extend your loan for up to a month from the current promise date. Login to Wonga at least a day before repayment is due, click the MyAccount tab and then select ‘Extend my loan.’ A part-payment of the existing balance is required and an Admin fee will apply if approved. Remember the sooner you repay your loan the less it will cost, so if you don`t need to extend we will automatically collect the repayment first thing on the agreed date and look forward to being of service in the future! Regards from the customer service team 0871 288 5704 http://www.Wonga.com Since they haven't yet responded to the email I sent yesterday regarding their payment plan, I have simply forwarded the same email to this address.
  19. Thank you, would you be able to PM them to me, incase they don't play ball, at least then I can make a payment before the 15th September.
  20. Cash Genie have responded. StarFang, Your current outstanding balance is £260, this is due on the 15th of September, we need to receive a payment on or before this date, otherwise you will be charged a late payment fee. I can set you up on a payment plan to prevent this happening however to do so I would need a token payment before the 15th. Also Payment plans are usually setup via a debit card, we can use the one you have already provided us in your initial application. I also need to make you aware that should any of your payments fail backdated interest & charges will be applied to your account. This is why we usually do things on a debit card since as long as the money is in your account your plan will not fail, paying us directly into the bank requires that you either send the payment early to be sure its in our account on the agreed date or sending us a copy of your receipt to confirm that the payment was in the bank before the agreed date. With regards to your request that we only contact you via email, I can honour that request while your account is in good standing however should the plan fail normal collections would apply to the account meaning that we will attempt to contact you via any channels we have available. Kindest Regards Mike Hawkins Cash Genie U.K Ltd Switchboard: 0845 956 9848 (01473 297210) Fax:0845 017 9961 Email: [email protected] Website: http://www.cashgenieloans.co.uk This seems ok, however I don't have a debit card and don't really like the implied threat of 'keeping my account in good standing'. My response. Mike, Thank you for your email. I can make a payment before this date, however I need to advise that this would be the payment for the month of September and would be £25.07. The next payment after that day would be on the 21st October and for the same amount. I cannot use my debit card since it has been cancelled by the bank. I therefore ask again for the details of a bank account which I can make a payment into before the 15th of September. I note that you state payment plans and payments are 'usually' made by debit card, however I hope you will be able to provide another way for me to repay in this circumstance. In response to your suggestion that you can only contact me by email if my account remains in good standing, I hope that you will enable me to keep this in good standing by providing the details I have requested and implementing a plan which does not cause further hardship. I would like to point out that all other creditors have accepted a payment plan without implementing further charges or interest. They have also given me the details in order for me to set up a standing order to make the payments. To be clear, I am in no way refusing my obligation to repay the said loan plus said interest. Therefore, I sincerely hope you can sympathise with my current situation and in doing so find my repayment schedule of £25.07 per calendar month reasonable. StarFang.
  21. Is it possible to get a link to where the information that initial loan + 1 months interest advice comes from?
  22. Thank you I'll contact them by live chat later today.
  23. They are sneaky! I should have read my email properly. Wonga are proposing 2 payments a month, I cannot afford this, so I have sent the following: Hi, Have already emailed you regarding this email. After re-reading and reviewing your payment suggestions I cannot accept your proposal. I have I previously stated the maximum I could afford to pay you each month would be £56.02. Your payment proposal has increased this to £101.44 a month. I am unable to make a payment this high. I therefore propose the following: 1 £56.02 09-Sep-2011 Edit 2 £56.02 14-Oct-2011 Edit 3 £56.02 11-Nov-2011 Edit 4 £56.02 09-Dec-2011 Edit 5 £56.02 13-Jan-2012 Edit 6 £56.02 10-Feb-2012 Edit 7 £56.02 09-March-2012 Edit 8 £56.02 13-April-2012 Edit 9 £56.02 11-May-2012 Edit 10 £53.73 08-June-2012 Edit Balance £0.00 I believe this is a fair proposal and is in line with the original payment I suggested. If I could pay more, i would have suggested that in the first email I sent to you. StarFang.

Astrein J So I need to wait until my due date to contact them? Surely it would be better to get something set up before then? Should I email back suggesting this?
  25. Thank you for your reply sillygirl, I was under the impression that they cannot add on interest, charges and late payments fees, beyond the initial loan amount + 1 months interest. This is from posts I have seen you make around these boards. I understand what you are saying, I'll see how the others respond.
