  1. Sorry if this question has been asked a million and one times on this forum before. But i posted my gl24 form on Monday to appeal against the esa decision. I am still waiting to hear from the DWP. Im appealing because i thought the examanition if that's what i can call it was poorly conducted by ATOS and i thought what actually happened in the examanition what badly discredited. Im thinking of going to CAB or welfare for advice. Anyhow, my question to you all what is the process for appealing? Should i be active getting letters from Doctors asking for certain forms any tips you can offer? Im asking you guys i figure i wont get any better advice from anywere else Thank You
  2. Hi Nystagmite, Thanks for your reply. I assume you can change this at a later date. I am going to leave that part of my gl24 form blank. I will contact the CAB or the Welfare later on but i want to send my gl24 form asap. If you or anyone else has any information regarding it be great to hear.
  3. I Will do then thanks Estellyn
  4. Hello All, I have started filling out my gl24 form. I am appealing against my esa decision. In the form it asks you who is going to represent you at the tribunal. My question to you all is can you represent yourself in the tribunal? Has, at this moment in time i dont know who is going to represent me. Maybe i can leave this section in the form blank and find someone to represent me at a later date? Interested to hear your thoughts
  5. Thank you guys for your advice it has helped me a lot. My examination by ATOS if that's what i can call it was conducted in a way which was completely unproffesional...Anyway, I have my gl24 form how much information should i write on this form at this stage should i just keep very basic? For example, i write "i am appealing against the decision that i am not entitled to esa" because i feel im not capable of work and i should be awarded a minimum 15 points. And then go further into details later on?
  6. Hi All, I was notified last week by telephone that i failed my medical examination for ESA. The lady i spoke too said i could go on JSA or launch an appeal. I told her that i would need a few days to consider my options. In the end i have decided to make an appeal against the esa decision. Basically, because i thought the way medical examination was conducted was unprofessional. My question is how do i start the process of appealing? Do i need to send a sicknote from my Doctor? Do i contact CAB? DWP? Is there a form i need to send? etc etc Thank You
  7. I successfuly lodged an appeal against my ESA decision about two weeks ago. Does anyone know how long the appeal papers arrive after you lodged an appeal? Thank you
  8. Hi, I went to the CAB on Friday to see the advisor. He asked me if I needed help to fill out the GL24 form I said yes. What he wrote down was about four lines long. It was the words to the effect... I am appealing the decision because I don't think you understand the extent my disability has on my everyday life. Now my question is, is that enough? Are you supposed to got into greater detail why you are appealing? I assumed because he was was CAB advisor he knew what he was doing. If it isn't enough do you think I should write a letter to the DWP explaining why I am appealing also my ESA 85 form only arrived yesterday so maybe I can go into more detail. Anyhow, It be good to hear your thoughts.
  9. I am an unfortunate holder of a Vanquis credit card. I read on my statement that I was charged for my repayment protection plan. I don't even recall accepting a protection plan. I called Vanquis twice in the last two months to cancel the protection plan and said there will send me a letter to confirm the cancelation in the post. It is has been about 10 days and I still not received any letter I am just wondering if they have in fact the canceled the policy. Should I call them back? Write to them and demand a refund? Is there anything I can do?
  10. Thanks for your advice Lee. I was unaware that the CAB could fax the GL24 form. Is the ATOS report the medical report? If so I called the DWP last Friday and the report should arrive early this week.
  11. I have one month to lodge my ESA appeal from July 24th. I have an appointment with a CAB advisor next Friday. Would you recommend me sending the GL24 now or wait until I see the CAB advisor who can help me with the GL24 form has I am unsure what to write. I am asking becuase I don't know how long it takes for the DWP to receive the GL24 forms.
  12. Thanks HB. Can I go to Jobcentre plus and ask for a copy? Or will I need to telephone?
  13. Ok, I failed my medical assesment. And I am going to appeal against the decision. Someone advised me that I should ask for a ESA 85 form. I have never heard of a esa 85 form. So if anybody knows of a 85 form I would be grateful if you can tell me where I can obtain one and describe the form to me.
  14. Can someone please tell me what an esa 85 form is? And how do yo pbtain this form?
  15. Thank you all for the quick replys. You been very helpful. I just have a couple more questions. Is it best to claim ESA or JSA while waiting for you appeal? And, to claim ESA do I have contact the jobcentre again?
  16. Hello All, I have just received a letter from the DWP to say I have failed the ATOS medical. Even though I suffer from a severe form of Scoliosis I only scored 6 points. I am now considering appealing because there is no way I am capable of working. My query what is involved in the appeal? Do you send the medical certificate with the GL24 form or do you send the medical certificate seperately? Do you make the appeal by telephone? Once the appeal has been processed how long before you get paid? And, do you think is it advisable to request a written reasons why they arrived at their decision? Any advice would be welcome
