  1. Hey, Yes it's christmas eve this year, Last year was a saturday so it was irrelevant and why I didn't know about this rule. The thing is If I cancel and they decide not to give me 1/2 a day off as this is not a contractual thing sometimes they just do it "from the goodness of their hearts" and I need the day off if possible anyway. I just assumed as they had given mostly their entire workforce half a day holiday fr nothing I should be entitled to reclaim liu time or something, it's just seems logical to me, but logical doesn't always mean lawful .
  2. Hi Guys, Just a general question if anyone knows anything about holiday claim back. I've booked Christmas Eve off from work as 1 full day's holiday, I've been told by a colleague they usually shut on christmas eve and let everyone go home on 1/2 day (12pm on an 8-4 shift), They told me they don't allow anyone who's booked the day off full to reclaim half a day holiday (or haven't in the past) yet anyonewho's in get's a free half day hoiday as "Gift". As they claim this is a gift from the company do I have any grounds to reclaim half a day of my holiday as I was not able to accept this "gift" as such. Thanks Steve
  3. Sorry I've only just got back to reading this, The problem wasn't missing contract's etc... it was that they sent me details of a completely different card i have with them and nothing at all in regards to the one I was requesting. I don't mind writing to the data controller but what can I do about it? give them another 40 days as a gesture pf their mess up or is there someone I would immediately complain too? Thanks for your help.
  4. Hi guys, another queston if you can help. I sent a SAR to barclaycard specifically stating it was for an old skycard and they have sent me a complete print out for an eggcard(which I have no dispute with and am paying) they also cashed the cheque. Do I have to send again with a covering letter and do I have to pay again?
  5. Sorry, 1 more question. Should I send both companies a SAR or just skycard to get my finiancial details? You've been most helpful thanks
  6. Ok So I send that to skycard then? and what do I say to the guy pestering me on the phone about settlement, can I delay him? Many thanks for the quick response
  7. Hi Guys question if you can help me, tried to call the CAB but they're closed by me, I had a CC with Skycard previously limit was 4k which was spent buy my ex g/f and me on holidays etc, bad moment where didnt care about debt etc, anyway a debt recovery firm have managed to get my address and they called me saying the outstanding amount stands at £7500 . To be quite honest I can't remember how long ago this was probably inbetween 5-7 years ago, can't remember exactly how I sent it all bar a couple of holiday's cant remember if I had PPI. Can I request a copy of the original signed agreement and any statements showing how the balance was accumalated before I proceed in offering payment etc... or because they are not te original company doesnt it matter to them? Thanks for any advice. Apologies if in wrong place but so many forums to navigate!
  8. Hi, I need some advise mainly for reference purposes if possible please. I was suspended last week under suspicion of gross misconduct. Too be honest I did not do what they are claiming but I can see how it looks and it looks bad for me. I am not too bothered as I want out of the industry I am in although I have worked in it for 10 years and for this specific company for 2 1/2 years. I was then signed off work by my doctor before the investigatory meeting took place so could not attend on grounds of stress/depression which are not related to the meeting itself but is related to the industry I'm in. What I want to know is if I resign while I'm signed off and my notice period expires before I am able to attend any meeting what will this mean for any reference I may need. Will it still state resigned whilst pending investigation? or are they more liable to not mention that as they would not want to be opened up to me suing them for defamation of character? Thanks in advance. I would rather not go into specifics (although I guess i could expand a little if required) as this is a fairly unique set of details which may be recognisable to anyone who reads this forum.
