  1. Hello everyone, I've not been here for a while, but my question is how long more will this case last?If Barclays thinks we should all pay the money what we "owe" them, and they've fulfilled the contract on their side, then why haven't they taken any of us to court yet? It's been going on for over a year now, such a waste of time, nobody knows where to stand in this situation.Have anyone questioned Barclays regarding this? Regards, tiger1986
  2. Hi, I've sent some forms to hausfeld, but I don't know what else to do,also I've sent an email to fuzzbutt before that just to ask how to join the group, and he said he added me on the list.Any suggestion what to do next please? Thanks, Anna
  3. Hello, I've received a letter from BPF to say that I'm two months behind with the payments.I rang them, and I told the reason why I'm not paying,I just explained it very simply that I choose to go with Advent (who went bust, which was unlucky) not with Computech .In the contract says if the supplier will go out of business I can sue them or BPF or both. I will not pay as it seems silly to pay £6000 for something what I never had,and I don't have to agree with BPF to take a course with another provider as it wasn't my choice like Advent was.The lady who I spoke to was very nice and polite, didn't argue any of my point whatsoever, all she said send them a letter about the agreement is in dispute, and another department of BPF will look into it.Also mentioned that it will affect my credit history.I've asked if I'm able to cancel the agreement would I still have to pay the "late payment" charges?Unfortunately she couldn't answer that, does anyone know anything? Thanks
  4. Good evening, First of all I'd like to say thank you to Fuzzbutt and lowdown for their helpful reply to my post last week. 10pack, I've received a very similar letter to yours from BPF where they just list all the problems in a letter which you have arised to them.....well I don't want to hear it all back,I know what my problem is as everyone else here! There's not much they can say,but they have to fll in the paper somehow. It's just an easy option, also they just want to make you feel like an idiot. All of their letters are very ignorant,so I will play the same cards as they do.I'v changed my contact detsails,I won't let them make my life miserable, they don't care about us than why should we care about them?Just be ignorant, copy their manner, and hopefully that won't stress you out so much. I don't know what to do next,I've sent a few details to hausfeld to join the group againts BPF,will I get a letter from them just to confirm that they've got my details etc.? I've sent a letter to BPF a few weeks ago, told them to send me a S75 claim form, also told them to send me a copy of proof of payment to Advent in November 2009.We will see what they will come back with.
  5. Hello, I haven't had any debt collectors yet,and I don't know how long BPF will wait before they send my details to any debt collectors agencies, but I'm renting/sharing a house and I really can't afford to have them around the house.I don't suppose there is a way of avoiding them unless you move house and won't tell them?I've sent a letter to BPF to say I have no values at all,so there isn't anything to take away from me,which is true,so not as if their threat would mean a lot to me in that respect..... Any advice what would be the best to do in a situation like this?
  6. Many of us took out the loan because in theory once we succeed the first exam after about 3months training,we were promised to get a lot better paid job which would have had allow us to pay off the loan before it's due date.I was actually considering to pay off the £6000 before the interest and all,but the women I spoke to on the phone at BPF was ever so ignorant and sharp with me I couldnt beleive it.I told her that if they want me to pay the money I want to choose another course provider, then she said very bitterly that it's not that easy,so I told her I know I have the right to choose someone else for £6000,she fobbed me off sraight away by saying I have to write in,but of course as we all know here they like to take their time,so I sent them a very rude letter by email.I told them to ring me by Monday last week, well I don't even have to say that I've heard nothing since.Very poor service!!!! I have to pay the loan by Saturday,I'm still in dilemma as I don't want debt collecters to harrass me,but if I pay then I reckon I can definately say goodbye to £6000.It won't matter for them if I pay or not as they managed to make a massive profit this year anyway.I think 10pack there is a case here to look into, especially for those who just signed up with Advent just before it went bust, like you.It is clear that it was a misselling. To be honest with you when I rang Consumer Direct ,well they weren't helpful either. It seems like nobody wants to help us,but why??
  7. Hello everyone, I'm new here. I don't know if anyone has rang Barclays to make a claim under Section75 of the Consumer Credit Act to proceed with the claim?I was told it's not for Barclays to fulfill the contract,it's for Advent. Also someone made a very good point that we need to look into why Advent went bust at the first place,it was a misselling by Barclays as well as by Advent.I joined them in November 2009 and two months later they were in adminitrations, don't tell me BPF didn't know anything .....
