  1. thanks, in the process of doing it now, the engineers confirmed faulty power supply. Phoned the customer serice line who said write in with receipt
  2. Bought a Samsung 40" LCD on 29th December 2006 for £899, from pcworld(put in here as pcworld thread is more pcs than tvs) Recently it developed a fault where the relay would click but the tv would not turn on for a few minutes, gradually getting longer, then eventually failed to turn on at all. Just heard from an independent engineer who confirmed that the Power supply had failed, and needs replacing at a cost of £166. (already paid £60 for inspection which will come off the bill) They couldn't tell me what caused it other than it just failed, (no impact, AD or water damage). What is the best course of action now, pay it and then chase DSGi for a refund, or take the estimate to them and chase them under the durability section of the SOGA? Thanks in advance for any help edit to add pcworld did not want to know about it when approached them before i had it inspected
  3. once you have both statements post them up here or email them me if you like, ill check them out for you. Flash Earth ...Google Local and Windows Live Local in Flash is handy for overhead photos of accident scenes, taking images from google maps and windows live
  4. ok, have her charged, Harsh but fair. It will help your case. Ask to see a copy of her diagram and statement, if DL havent got it, then tell them to get it. Obtain a copy of the cctv, if it costs you get a receipt. Do a good diagram yourself, note where both cars were coming from and going to. Who is the other person insured with?
  5. I would get ICIs advice in writing, then reply stating that you will reimburse the cost of washing the car, and not pay for his attempted repairs. Might be better someone with legal background on this one. If one of our customers bodges his repairs and makes it worse then claims, we would pay for the cost of the original repairs, but he would have to pay for any costs that he has caused.
  6. direct line are well known for this, you get what you pay for. In the first case the damage is to the nsr quarter on a roundabout so it could back up her false claims that you turned across her, with no witnesses and her word against yours there isnt much else they can do really.
  7. I too wonder why you havent passed this on, I cant see you winning it tbh, you will lose your 75xs and your £200 good condition bonus which has nothing to do with NCB, the RSA Motability scheme does not give NCB at all, they will only issue a letter detailing how long you have been on the scheme and a list of accidents.
  8. You should have made him look where he was going tbh. There was no negligence attached to the driver as your son walked into his stationary vehicle.
  9. The majority of the liability will rest with you, but there is case law with regards to parking on a bend, I will check when back in work for you. Can you draw a basic diagram and scan it in of the bend and position of the parked taxi? You will lose your no claims bonus, but may be able to recover a percentage of your excess depending on case law and if your insurance is willing to fight it, (probably not)
  10. Thanks. 14 days is up, still no sign of the missing statements, LBA about to be sent.
  11. Just a quick note, they sent a letter asking for authorisation of payment, and then sent the statements, they made no note of manual intervention. And no other letters. Is this ok?
  12. dpa sent 13/06/2006 prelim approach sent 20/07/2006 although they missed out 6 months of charges from 27/10/2000-03/05/2001 Have requested this info with the prelim approach. Total so far £1169 I'll keep this updated.
