Can you help. I have noticed different reasons for charges on my statements and need to know which ones I can claim for. Unauth o/d fee Unpaid DD charge Unpaid Chq Charge Charges (monthly) Interest (monthly) I noticed you had already submitted your claim for refund of charges. Thanks for an help.

Jas I have not included the monthly charge, only the interest. But I will gladly re calculate by applying the monthly charge. It will boost my overall amount I intend to claim back from them. Did you use the Excel spreadsheet to calulate?

Jas I received my statements and like you most of the charges are for exceeding the overdraft on a daily charge basis. I note the charge for exceeding the overdraft is charged to my account monthly (approx £25) and additionally interest charged. When you calculated the charges, did you include the monthly charge and interst? The reason I ask is I thought I read somewhere that you could not recover the charges imposed for exceeding you agreed overdraft. Any help ould be appreciated. Rang YB yesterday as I had not received the statements. They said they were sent out on 7th July. They are going to send them by recorded delivery this time. Possibly just delaying tactics again, who knows. Can't wait to add up the charge!!!!! I've been reading the updates on the forum and a few people are 'nearly there'. Good luck to everyone who has challenged the banks. I remeber a few years ago incurring charge after charge week in and week out, and was sinking fast. YB didn't want to know!!! Typical.

Hello Following advice from a collegue to try and get charges back from Yorkshire Bank I logged on to this site. Have found it most helpful, and everyone seems so positive. Sent off my DPA request and fee, and this morning received a mandatory letter stating I can have the statements but not all the info. After checking posts on the site this seems the norm for Yorkshire Bank. So following on what others have done I have sent off a letter stating I am entitled to such files and require them within the 40 day limit a set out in my initial request OR ELSE!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CHALLENGED THESE CHARGES
