  1. Sorry to bump this nearly a year later. It knocked my start date back by 3 weeks. Is anyone aware if the loss of income can be added onto the relevant claim? Furthermore with my one against Lloyds TSB I sent the request letter a few months agao and havent really followed it up too much since. However, they did not send me all the statements I had requested in the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request), only the last 2 years. Can someone point me to the relevant letter to send as I can no longer locate it!?! Thanks in advance!
  2. By people refering to it as 'pre 6 year' case would I be right in assuming it is best to get the initial 6 year claim out of the way first and approach the next as a seperate matter, rather than doing it all at once?
  3. Well, I went into the branch this afternoon and wrote out a complaint letter there and then. The guy himself said it would not be resolved by monday. As a result of this am I able to claim for loss of income?
  4. natweststaffmember, off your username do you know if I pay the 288 pounds if it is removed with immediate effect? My main concern is getting the job sorted, I will then go for recovering the costs! Paying it and it not being removed with immediate effect is a catch 22!
  5. I was told its a condition of employment that I must hold a staff account for my wages to be paid into, I can't even open an account in my mothers name then she transfer the wages out!
  6. Hello people, I have been registered for a couple of weeks now and shall be seeking to recover costs from 2 banks, one being Natwest, the other being Lloyds TSB. I would estimate around 600 pounds in charges from Natwest and around 4000 from Lloyds TSB. However I have a slightly more pressing concern. Around 18 months back I lost my job and at one point went 50 pence overdrawn with Natwest, I then got hit with a charge in the region of 30 pounds, as you can imagine, this situation continued so the following month another charge was added (I had not used my card anymore) and they have consistently, every month added further and further charges to the account. I would estimate that I have paid around 250 pounds just from this instance, the balance is showing on the experian website at 288 pounds and being in default. I am due to start at the Co-Operative bank on Monday the 10th of July, however one of their stipulations is that I must possess a Co-Operative staff bank account to have my wages paid into. I was today informed that the credit check had failed so as a result, unless it is rectified I am unable to commence employment. They referred me to experian website where all of my credit past is good, with the exception of the Natwest who have levied a default note against myself due to the charges incurred from going 50 pence over the overdraft limit. I have read that the charges can be recovered and that the notes can be removed but it is a slow process, I have a meeting with the bank manager set up tomorrow after their help-line was, for want of a better word, crap! I do not bank with them so cannot see them being overly helpful towards my cause but is there some form of legal comeback should they be unable to rectify it with immediate effect in order for me to take up employment? Obviously the charges are deemed unlawful which in turn resulted in the default against myself, which in turn is affecting my employment. Would this note be removed with immediate effect if I were to pay the 288 pounds? I could then reclaim it at a later date. Many thanks in advance, Wayne.
