  1. unfortunately the reason you are having this discussion is because this does work and you are all trying to find a loophole. I am proof it works. This system has enabled myself and six other shops on the same road to work efficiently, our customers are delighted they can now park and shop freely. The only people who are miffed are the ones wanting to save money by parking in our free spaces and going off to london on the train or getting drunk in the pub and picking up their cars the following night etc. We make it very clear what our expectations are and I have not seen an extortionate fine charged yet. It is clear when someone does not understand how business works, everything in this life costs and if you try to wriggle out of anything there is always a cost to someone else. Just do the right thing in every aspect of your life and you will be a much better and happier person. I realise you do not want to see anyone else point of view and unless you are open minded you will never get very far. I cannot continue to try to make someone understand who is not really listening, if you do listen and try to understand you might not like the person you have been all these years. Good Luck
  2. I can threaten legal action as can you to anyone I wish. The courts decide if it is just and we have to have faith in our legal system. I do
  3. I have never seen one instance of them breaking the rules, however I am at the end of my tether with awful people breaking my rules and I reserve the right to refuse admission to my shop also if I wish to do so and have had to exercise that right also because some people are horrible and will twist things to suit themselves when they cannot do the right thing. I have needed a space in the past and been tempted to use a private car park to just pop into a shop, however when you are in business and understand the implications and problems caused you try to see the other mans point of view (some of these people then try to hurt themselves in the car park to make a claim). I am both a retailer and a shopper I can see both sides. By all means appeal if you are truly genuine, however short of having a heart attack so being late to pick up your car I dont see how all these people can be genuine.
  4. the loss to car park owners like myself is the loss of business by our own customers not being able to park and therefore our lost custom, the charges have to be in place to act as a deterrent for the people who are not reasonable and dont follow the rules which are clearly stated throughout the car park, at the entrance and all thoroughfares. In order to impost the charges, someone has to take the time to issue a ticket and then whatever correspondence is required, you must remember it is not just the cost of the ink and paper but people have to be employed to do these jobs so costs must be covered. Car parks are not only convenient for the shopper but also create much needed jobs. The car park owners like myself make nothing from this, so ask yourself why we would bother to employ people to police our car parks if there is no monetary gain. IT IS BECAUSE PEOPLE ABUSE THE SYSTEM TO SAVE A COUPLE OF QUID AND TO HELL WITH ANYONE ELSE. It comes down to a question of morals.
  5. nobody has ever been given a ticket in my car park that had not broken the rules. I do not [problem] and I make nothing from the tickets, the proceeds of the ticket go to the company to recover the court costs etc
  6. Rubbish. No mention of road traffic act. you get so aggressive, dont break the rules.
  7. you only have to read the majority of these threads to see that most of them have blatenly broken the rules and then are looking for your help to get out of it. Even the big boys have problems with parking, most of them are in busy areas and people just want to park for free, some go away on the train for a week and park in the supermarkets. Be Fair.
  8. You are all very silly people who just resort to stupid talk to try to justify your behaviour. Why can you not have a reasonable sensible discussion based on right and wrong and admit that you are not interested in anyone but yourselves, be fair to others think about someone else and do unto others as you would have them do to you. I dont have to worry about which laws that is why I employ Euro car parks to monitor my car parking for me. They deal with all that side and the courts for me. As I have said already i give free parking and allow plenty of time for my customers. It is only the inconsiderate ones which blatently break the rules that pay the penalty.
  9. Well you are lucky if you have not been taken to court because they do and win, hope they get you soon
  10. I cant argue with you if you talk rubbish, make it a reasonable educated discussion
  11. If you own the land they are parked on then put up the correct signage and you can. If they are on the highway and your driveway is legal then call the police and get them moved. It is an offence for them to obstruct it. Euro car parks are not [problematic] they are doing a service for the poor people like me struggling to make an honest living despite the [problematic]
  12. No Its you that dosent get it. and no I don not work for euro parks they work for me, so that I can earn a living because people like you dont seem to want me to
