I hope so, ive been an absolute mess since thursday and thats only cos i got the letter!! i sent my lod away to gm today so will just have to c what comes from that, anyone else sent one yet?

Just found another site talking about gallant macmillan, heres what they have to say.... "If were unable to reach an agreement with the recipitent of our letters, and still consider that our client has a good claim, we shall sue. We recognise that its not appropriate to make threats of proceedings and then to not follow through with thoes threats in appropriate cases." Take a look the site is called Torrentech! Lets hope there just all talk!!!!!!!!

Got my letter all typed up urs was alot of help cos i didnt have a clue where to start!! Hopefully i can get some sleep now, its amazing how much distress this bloody letter has caused!!!

I no everyone who has had letters from asc say that nobody has been taken to court after sending their letter of denial but gm has only sent out 7000 letters where as acs supposedly sent 30,000!! Does anyone think because they didnt send out as many there is more of a chance they would take you to court??

When i spoke to someone at sky he actually told me to ignore the letter!!! He said as it wasnt recorded delivery not to do anything and if they send something else deny i ever received the first letter!!! He also told me they can only prove it came from my address and not who downloaded the file. I have only ever downloaded 2 albums and have since deleted my utorrent as im not really that good with computers and downloading!! Just my luck i suppose!!!!!!!!!

I dont think they would go to the trouble of getting peoples computers if you send a letter of denial because they need to prove it was you that downloaded the file!! Even though the file is on the computer doesnt prove it actually was you that downloaded it!! Its impossible for them to prove that!! Someone could be sitting in a car outside your house and hack into your wifi ..... there is no way they can prove who downloaded it!!!!!!

@josephbloggs If someone else has downloaded it on your computer then its still going to show your name not theirs!! its only proves the file was downloaded not who actually donwloaded it?? Can they access you files without actually having your computer??

Like a few other people i did actually download the mos album but the date on the letter is different from when i downloaded, i dont want to admit to downloading it incase i end up with more letters demanding £375!! If i were to deny downloading the album is there anyway they can prove i did it without actually taking my laptop???

Gallant MacMillan have the supposed date and time i made the album available for third party download, an ip address and says i used a Bittorrent!!

Tudorblue is there anyway apart from the ip address that they can prove u done it??

Hi, got my letter from Gallant MacMillan 2 days ago about mos the annual 2010 have havent slept a wink since!! They said i made it available for download 27/11/09, as like most of you the ip address is nothing like mine and the want £375!! Is everyone is in agreement that if i sent a letter of denial it wont be taken any further?

i got the same letter yesterday! they want £375 for the annual 2010 fron november, they said in the letter they got the info on the ip address from a company called Easynet Limited! anyone got ant advice on what to do???
