  1. howdo all, not heard a sausage since, i cancelled sky, just watchin one show now, hope its on, and yep its entrapment, if they wanna proceed wi court thats fine, only cost you a quid a week after u've filled in a means form etc, so bugger em, we're are still in recession regardless of whatever anyone else says. they can bite me bum
  2. hi again, been in touch with sky once again as they responded with my letter basically sayin they want NOTHING to do with it, gonna send gallant macmillan my sky details etc as i have just cancelled sky and moving house tomorrow. sod em, i give up xx
  3. johnsmith999..........i luv u!!! u talk geek like my husband!! one of the many reasons i married him. but yep, i totally agree with u, financial we are being well and truly shafted
  4. p.s. just rung em again, stated i was in america for two weeks (again stated) and my laptop was turned off, as for being away for so long, i wanted to save electricity. they responded, well we'll wait for sky to comply. sky have said that i can give them my customer details to explain everything that has happened on my account end, they have given permission for GM to use them on one occasion only. i told GM this and they said, 'we need it in writing' mentioned that all calls where recorded down there end so why not, not got a decent response back tbh, i'll hang on for sky, otherwise GM can goto hell. i'm not playing anymore, they can take me to court.
  5. hi all. i recieve a letter today back from my LOD. its a lovely read there's hearts and kisses all over it ...............yeah........anyway, still tryin to get my letter from sky but with no such luck, GM say its cos i used a bit torrent thingy while i was away fro 2 weeks (which i proved, with old holiday booking etc) but in the original letter it states that i had downloaded it two days after christmas even though i had been in america for 8 days by this time. i'm not 100% sure but isn't it only news groups where you can give something a 'time to start' so to speak, and not torrents? help with this would be fab, and they've specifically told me its not a fine, pardon me for not puttin 'RIP OFF' in my letter!!! its lookin more and more mickey mouse! i think i may just cut outthe middle man letters and they can have my soddin laptop!! bloody sharing.........talkin out they're big fat cat lazy a**es!!! totally lost it now.................
  6. i just want a decnts night sleep now, i'm so tired of worrying, i've done everything by the book, i have never downloaded anything without reading the T's & C's carefully, as for torrents, to be honest, i don't see the point, i'm a sucker for a CD. i'm going for a cry..........
  7. Use the mac filter on the router, it only allows the mac addresses of the computers you add to the list. Set this up using a desktop which is directly connected to the router!---- cheers, me new router has arrived so i'll wait for me pc to come home too xx
  8. sky are sending me a letter to say that i have done everything in my power to stop me from being hacked etc, like i said above they have agreed to let me buy my own more secure router and gallant and macmillan will drop the case on me personally once i have sent the letter back. plus, (currently in my dads house using his laptop) when i spoke to sky, they stated that there was a lot of traffic through my modem as we spoke, which is good, considering my pc is gettin fixed, but its enough for sky to help out even more. what scares me the most was that next door but one has used 452GB this month alone, so makes me wonder how many more times i'll have to do all this cos of him. just wish i could stop him once and for all........can't wait to get my new modem
  9. i got a response from the SRA today too, they are looking into the matter now. plus a girl from GM told me directly that if i send a lod in, they automatically drop the case! but i think its fair to say, i think the girl was work experience as when i started talkin dsl, packet etc, she said ''er'' alot!!
  10. i know, but i'm sure people would appreciate they're pc's to look untampered with. as for that lot, it'll be a very chilly day in hell when i pay up. plus i wouldn't even mind sendin em my laptop to investigate it, just so i could have the smug satisfaction of watching them find a shed load of florist paper work and tax returns but no sodding ministry of sound. gimme metallca any day.........mos.........bloody chav crap!!!
  11. hi all. been in touch with sky, if ur like me and been hacked by next door but one (who admitted to using our router to download HUNDREDS of albums, whom i am also taking to court asap, as he offered to sell me one for 2 quid) ask them for your dsl user name and password so u can buy your own modem, sky admitted to me that the modem in question (netgear/sagem) are very simple to crack, and are specifically made for people who aren't pc savvy. even though it states in skys terms and conditions that you can't do this, if you plea your case they willg ive you this info. as for gallant and macmillan i've reported them to the solicitors do dah, i'll be sending a letter of denial and they can have me laptop if needs be too to find the album. i don't even like mos, much more cradle of filth ta! but please don't panic, £375 is disgusting so if u have downloaded the album, please seek legal advice and state that the amount asked for is way to high for what the album is actually worth. plus next but one told me it was crap! all in all, you can get your first half hour free at a solicitors and free at the cab. if you didn't like myself, send a letter of denial and ignore all other correspondence as they cannot prove anything, to get your laptop they need a court order, and do u honestly think they are willing to get 7000 court orders for laptops? as for going into files to see what you have or haven't done, is against the privacy act, they also need a court order for this, this will cost millions and its also against human rights. THEY CANNOT DO THIS. ignore em, deny all, worse case sceanario, drop sky they a ton of bricks or move xx:D
  12. hey all. ok, like all of you, i have recieved a letter stating i owe them 375 for a ministry of sound annual downloaded on the 27th december last year. here's what i did. i called them to tell them i never downloaded this album as i enjoy the joyful sounds of metallica, told them that i followed legal sky procedure and place a password upon my modem (netgear) which isn't the greatest piece of kit, i told them this can be easily hacked within 20 mins using 2 pieces of software ( my husband has his cisco cert) they told me i had to pay 375 or be taken to court i replied with ''fine, but you will recieve at least £1 a month after i have filled in a means form'' they stated the minimum was £50 a month, i responded with ''take me to court, me dads a barrister'' upon which i also stated that if they could PROVE that i personally had downloaded the tracks then i would personally pay the cost of the album not the extortionate amount they'd quoted. they said it wasn't feasable. i now refuse to give them anything. they can't send me to prison, but they can take me to small claims, which in turn costs them more, considering (by the looks of it) there are hundreds of us, and to get all that money back......typically isn't worth it, they WILL drop it, i told em they'd get 50 quid at the end of the month, when i move house (which they don't know) plus when i also drop sky like a ton of bricks. i shall be contacting offcom and bbc watchdog on monday morning, as this isn't illegal but it sure has hell ain't legal! its extortion, and if played correctly could work out in my favour as a doctors note can sign me off with stress anxiety and depression which in turn i can claim off them with ''emotional distress''........all else fails ring em up actin as thou your deaf! how can u hear music if ur deaf! good luck all xxxx
