  1. Congratulations!! Every little helps, eh? Keep up the fight. Anne
  2. Thanks. Well, judging by things other people have said, they may well settle with you before court date. They don't seem that eager to go to litigation. Good luck to you.
  3. Yippee and thanks to all at this forum! Sent letter to co-op on Monday 30th, in reply to their "delaying tactics" letter, stating that I wouldn't waste any more time/money writing to them and they would next hear from me through the court. Today,3rd November, the charges mysteriously appeared back in my bank account! Aint life grand?
  4. Had told them I was claiming the commission only but would not be wasting time & money contacting them again only through court. That letter was sent on Monday 30th, all commission back in account today,3rd November.
  5. One has to wonder if they think we are all comedians having a laugh with them? Go for it!
  6. Had further letters from co-op stating they need more time to investigate the cause of my unhappiness with them. Doh! They also thanked me for my patience, ha! I have responded with 2 letters before action and am now about to prepare for the court action. ( I have pointed out to them that having worked for the Government for years I certainly recognise delaying tactics when I see them.)
  7. I have had a reply from one letter to coop to assure me they will deal with my unhappiness about the way they deal with my account! Did they not understand I am claiming a refund of charges? And they have not answered the other letter for my other account. Looks as if I have to move up a pace!
  8. Phew, posted 2 claim letters today, recorded delivery, one for each account, claiming a total of approx £1900. ALSO phoned bank and asked them to refund another £35 they had taken yesterday. Much to my amazement they said it will be back in my account tomorrow. The biggest hurdle to me was getting started but now I look forward to the skirmish.
  9. Hi, had all the data from co-op about 3 weeks ago. I'm not a bit sure that I've completed the spreadsheets properly as I have a hole in my head where numbers are concerned. I will mail the letter tomorrow asking for a refund of my charges and wait to see what happens. All the stuff I've read on here has been very encouraging and very helpful. It also calms my jangling nerves to know that I'm not the only one in the world that the co-op have plunged into worse debt.
  10. I'm just starting out on my claim to the co-op bank and I'm really nervous about it. NO, I'm not worried that they'll turn it down because I can fight that but I AM worried that I've totally misunderstood the spreadsheets and that they owe me 2p instead of the £1,900 I think they owe me. I don't have a mathematical or financial brain cell in my body which is why they got away with the charges in the first place. Is there anyone else out there who is feeling as fraught as I about it all? :o
