  1. i just said i didnt do it. i had no idea how it had happened and wouldnt pay thats all. as mentioned before nothing since june and they said i had 14 days to pay up etc
  2. Hi i got my acs law letter in june and sent a quick lod. I never recieved a reply back so should I assume he has accepted my lod? also i have today sent my second lod to G Mcmillan stating my denial. Has anyone else had a third letter from them yet?
  3. I am sending my second letter of denial to GM tomorrow - I am really depressed and anxious now. Has anyone had a reply to a second lod yet and what did it say and what did they do? my reply from them said they were still going to pursue me for payment - they seem to know all about lods etc and seem to think that they are not valid. what can I do if I get a third letter from them? has anyone had a third letter?
  4. I havent had a reply from acs law yet? I got a letter from GM yesterday and its freaking me out. THey say that LODs cannot be accepted and that My reasons were not enough. They say if I cant prove it wasnt me or give good enough reasons it wasnt me then their clients will still pursue the case. I cannot afford the fine let alone court costs if it ever came to that. I am paranoid that my pc was compromised in someway for sky to show me as downloading the said tracks. How can I prove other wise? I was under my gp last year for depression and this is the last thing i need right now. I have written a second lod but havent posted it yet. I have said that I cant possibly prove it wasnt me and that I know nothing of file sharing etc and my health is suffering -and to ask them again to drop their claim> should i send this. I am also dreading anotheer letter from ACS law as its been three months now and no reply to my original lod. Please can someone advise me and help put my mind at rest thanks
  5. I have not heard back from ACS law since i sent my lod off in june but i have had a second letter from GM saying they acknowledge my lod but as I didnt say why i didnt do it then they will still pursue this matter something about practice direction. they say i provided no alternative explanation as to who might have done so. They say mere denials are incompatible with practice direction and that in the absence of a proper explanation as to why i didnt do it then the inference of wrongdoing remains. They say that if i give them details of anyone over the age of 16 who may of done it then the letter of accusation will be channged to them and the case against me will be dropped. that is my wife an she certainly didnt do it. Its my birthday tomorrow so nice birthday im going to have !! how can i prove i didnt do it and what will happen next if i deny it again . i cant afford to pay the fine let alone any costs that might come of this.
  6. I received a letter from Acs law in June sent my LOD off and to date have not heard anything back? then in July I received a letter from GM , my wife sent my LOD off as I was at Scout Camp in Finland. That was over the 21 days to reply. I have not received nothing back from either ? people in these forums are receiving second and third letters from these solicitors - should i expect mine anytime soon. I havent done anything wrong and I am at my wits end with all this not knowing etc and law threats hanging over my head? Both my lods were just simple affairs and not from the internet so will this have any bearing on this? I saw the bit on the One show when I got back from Finland any news on this?
  7. As i said before I have had two of these letters now from both Gallant and acs law. I havent done it but if anyone has can these guys proove it? I have had two letters now so how many more are likely to arrive out of the blue - i cant keep sending lods off indef.
  8. thanks stevo I will send it off. I am just thinking about wehter they will not accept my lod and pass it to MOS and whats to stop other solicitors sending out more letters ?
  9. Hi back in February i got a letter from ACS law and promptly sent off my letter of denial. Todate i still havent heard back. Then today I got another letter from Gallant Macmillan saying i had downloaded MOS electronic Eighties and that I have again to pay £350. This time they dont mention court proceedings but say if i pay up i can keep the album! . I have drawn up anohter letter of Denial but havent sent it off yet. Which mag are aware of this new firm but say that Gallant said that they will look at all lods and Ministry of sound will look at each case on merit before taking things further. I am really panicing now i havent done this downloading but if its happened twice how many more times? Gallant say that unsecure browers etc are no defense and that they will pass on all lods to mos . should i pass on my lod or ignore it this time and should i worry anymore re this as opposed to acs and this seems more of a threat this time. I am due to go on holiday to finland on monday so dont need this hassle - please can someone help put my mind at ease. I know i have done nothing wrong but I CANT afford to pay anything let alone the stress etc
