  1. Hi! Haven't been on here for months as it all got a bit much for me! I have just recevied my decision from the FOS and surprise surprise, they ruled in favour of Barclays! My course with Advent started in Feb 2009 so the FOS have said I have until May 2011 to complete the course with Computeach as they have so kindly awarded me an extra 3 months time for the hassle! WWHHHHAAATTTT!!!!...other than the fact that we weren't held to 2year courses with Advent, it has take 10months to get here!!! How am I supposed to do my entire course in 7 months!? I'm so gutted!!!

Hi Just had a call from the FOS adjudicator, seemed like a reallt understanding guy, we had a long chat, he called Barclays for me and got them to freeze all payments for a month and take off the mark on my credit rating. He said there's no promises with resolving the issue but will do his best. Fingers crossed!!
  3. In my experience, never! I don't think they have a letter opener or something because I sent mine recorded delivery and it was never acknowledged at all!!!! Nice hey!?
  4. I did eventually get an email back from my salesman confirming they extended contracts. I've forwarded it to the legal team, hopefully that will help a bit! I'm not sure how Barclays expect us to 'prove' the misselling!!...do they expect us to have recorded the conversations or something!!?? Idiots!

  6. YAY!!! I've finally had a reply from the advent salesman! He's confirmed that there was a 2 year contract but they always let students go over it for good reason! He also wrote about the dedicated jobs team! Awesome!!...there's a wee small step in the right direction!
  7. Wow!...thanks for your insight but you are WAY off the mark! Who says I never paid anything for the first year? Maybe the loan YOU got was interest free and no payments for the first year, mine certainly wasn't!! Ever since I joined this site it's for people to support eachother, know there are others out there going through the same thing, offer friendly comments and try and get through it together, not for people to contradict everything you say and make you feel even worse! I'd appreciate it if you could ignore my posts in future and hold in your urge to comment with unhelpful "advice" Thanks!
  8. I just assumed it was from Fuzzbutt, didn't think to look at postage mark or anything! I did mention this to good old Michael at BPF today and he said ex employees have no way to get into the system so its either someone still in the company or someone who planned it before they left! ...well thats pretty obvious really! How badly do they treat their staff for them to do this!? Horrible to think anyone can get hold of our info but i do appreciate they're on our side and trying to help!!
  9. well they shouldn't have made part payment to computeach when i havent agreed to go with them! Why would they send money to a company that they and i know nothing to!? I can understand them doing that to advent when i first signed up because i asked for it but i have not would never sign up to computeach!! ...and as far as i know, advent didn't take the money and run, Barclays pulled out funding on them! Advent had no choice!...how long till they do it to computeach too!!??
  10. yeah thats exactly what I thought! I've written out all I can from the phone call and sent it to FOS and the legal team. Calming down is something I seriously need to do!...if only there were someone here to shake me!haha If this never ending nightmare finally finishes one day, I'll be the happiest and calmest bunny there is! Just couldn't believe he had the nerve to say those things! I'm not as stupid as I must sound!!haha
  11. man I'm sick of all the bulls*** from BPF!! I've just got off the phone from them, talking to a guy called Michael and after a very lengthy phone call of over 30minutes going round in circles about why I’m still being charged and why we should have to accept Computeach as the alternative provider, he basically said that when I signed up to Advent, Barclays paid them for me. Then in March 2010 when Computeach was appointed as the alternative provider, Barclays also paid them to take up my course. He said if I wanted the payments to stop, I would have to contact Computeach to see if they would allow me to cancel. I told Michael that when I received the email from Computeach asking me to follow the link to sign up to the course, I didn’t. I didn’t even reply to the email. I would never agree to study with Computeach. I asked how Barclays could send my money to another company without my permission, and also I was under the impression that there was some sort of money that was set aside by Advent , to pay for alternative course providers in the event of them going out of business so actually, Barclays haven’t paid for 2 courses for me like Michael was saying! WHAT!!!!???? is that a new story or has anyone else been fed this too!?

  14. hahaha...I just got a call from barclays offering me a loan!!!! I said why would I want a loan? They said Well we have your details on record so you must have had a loan with us in the past! !!!!!??????!!!!!???? WHAT!!!!!????? do your research you prick!!!!! hilarious!!!
  15. i also assumed you were a woman, i feel maybe explaining my assumption not quite appropriate on here, most people assume Fuzzbutt is a man, but surprise surprise, SHE's not!...names on here don't show sex...does it really matter!? we are all equal on here, except you didn't answer my question, if you're getting this angry and think your way is the best way, good for you! I wish you all the luck in the world, there's just no need to get all up yourself on here! We're all in the same position and should be focusing our aggression towards the blood sucking cxxxs screwing us over, not each other! thisforum is being used for us all to share our experiences and help each other, I for one have found a lot of comfort finding i'm not the only one in this situation and the legal action is also fantastic! How about we keep it like that!? Helping not hindering!
  16. They're not exactly blame free...they pulled the funding! Which is probably what they'll do to computeach at some point! Just wondering...what is your reason for writing all this on here? You kinda seem like you think you're helping but you're just winding people up, are you after some sort of information or are you genuinely trying to help? Cos if it's that, why bother!? Clearly people aren't happy with what you are saying, which shows you are wasting your time! If you're after help or just to join in, just say! No need to be patronizing!!
  17. Right, just plugged up the courage to call the salesman back that I called back in may and never heard back from. He appologised and said his PC had broken and he'd lost everything (not sure why that would effect his hotmail account but nevermind!) He said if I send it again he promises to respond. Fingers crossed!
  18. today i have had 4 calls from a different bpf number, a call from ct and just got a text from barclays!...busy day!! When i spoke to the ct woman, i refused to answer the security questions and she still spoke about my account! (not that i have one with them!!) so bad! I am now heavily pregnant and finding all this very hard to deal with! I really thought I'd have passed a couple of exams by the time the baby got here! So very disappointing! I really feel for everyone in this situation!

  20. I spoke to my salesman, he was really friendly and willing to help and gave me his email address, said he'd put things in writing to help, so i emailed him and he hasn't replied!!! Very kind of him! The salesman are as scummy as the rest of this situation!!
  21. I sent my stuff off to FOS over a month ago and haven't heard a single thing back, not even acknowledgement that they received my stuff. Is that normal!?

  23. Ever since Barclays started calling a couple of times a week on my house phone, I've been saying "Sorry, I don't know anyone by that name!" My husband picked up the phone on tuesday and said "We're not answering any questions until you answer ours!" ...we now get about 4 calls a day! ARGH!!!!
