That's why i confirmed when he asked if i am the person which he is looking for. Did not expect anybody from Marlin. assault might be a bit to strong word but imho when somebody does not want to let you go as you are in rush for meeting on front garden of your house, and do not understand if you repeating constantly that you wont speak by phone with anybody from his office and wont spend any more time on talking with himself as he is representative of this organization i can treat as assault. Second thing is he even did not show any form of ID or anything else. Even Marlin besides one letter which was stating they owe now my debt did not really prove to me anything. Since BPF passed me to first debt company my details spreaded to whole world i guess as i've started to receive loads of [problem] (i become a constant winner in hundreds of lotteries, i become owner of huge amount of money to claim from PPI, i become a happy future owner of numerous credit cards and loans ect.), so those peoples sold my details for sure as i never ever was giving them anywhere where it was not essential. Even when was doing any quotes on for example comparing websites was never putting my real personal data.... For me all correspondence same like this guy and whole Marlin is just another spoof company which is trying to find a fool. If i will come to your door and will say that you owe me ten grands without any prove why you supposed to be even bothered about it (especially if whole world got your details and know you have debt and want to trick you out for money) :/? If somebody is stating not truth to gain financial benefit and does not want to listen your arguments have to be some kind of assault for sure.

Hello everybody, just was going to ask if anybody was assaulted by fields agents of marlin ? They send somebody to me yesterday and when i opened the doors though it was somebody from british gas as he had in hand a bunch of papers with their logo. As i have account with them i confirmed to him that i am the person he is looking for, as i am an account holder, however then he revealed himself and was trying to force me to talk through the phone with marlins office, while i declined to pass my details through the phone to the lady on second side he became surprised and started almost shouting that i wont be so clever when they will take me to court. I used to send a deed of assignment to some of previous companies but just after first two i've start to ignore them. As i came into forums again to check what is going on in our case i seen some people have been called to court. I presume it is a good moment to send once again request of paperwork. I cant get through all pages of all forums at the minuet as had accident two weeks ago and injured my head what affected my sight, i can use only one eye at the minute (funny thing - i have double visions on second) and this one which i am using sees blurred and is getting tired pretty fast. So was just going to ask if anybody else was facing those home visits before ? Since Advent collapsed never had them before so it was very surprising and face of guy who firstly seemed to be shocked and then in anger was almost shouting to me that words actually get me scared a bit about this possibility of court case. Due to accident i had I am not in good phisical, mental nor financial situation (self employment sometimes sucks) to let myself for hours on books, forums and all other papers. s o just wanted to ask if i should treat this visit same as just any other not to important letters which all previous companies sent before ? Or it might be some clue which points that they're more interested in my person ? Thanks

Hello I see old thread is finished. Can i ask You for sugestion. My current situation is: Barclays sent Moorcroft Debt Recovery Limited on me few months ago. I've recived 4 letters 2 times (at one day i've get two twice), and for 4 months nobody asked me to repay my loan. Just today i've recived demand to pay back 10349.94 pounds in whole till 10/02/11 ( which of course i won't give them back (even if i would have any ot these)). As they saying if i wont do that without delay they will pass case to County Court and bailiffs. If they will win case in court (i can't see it possible to win (same as it was with FOS) it in court as i'm foreigner which is not fluent with British law and language) what can do bailiffs to me, if: - i live in rented home with two other mates (but rent contract was signed for my name (all 3 names were passed to Counsil)), - all goods like TV, playstation or fridge and gym were bought together so i am not a full owner of it, - i owe just things in my room like PC, - i owe a flat abroad. Can they try to take some of this things from me ?

I just get final response from Barclays about my FOS compliant's. Two pages of argumentation why they don't agree with me and why they wan't me to pay whole ammount with interest and charges. I was trying to get help in our case from my Advent training adviser but after our talk i didn't get any more response.

I'm sure i have to have this letter somewhere too. I will look for it tommorow again :/

What if i sign up with CT? I get mail from BPF that they found trainer as like as Advent so i was sure all terms are same, and same thing told me a consultant from CT. After 2 weeks i sign up with them... and then i just find out this company is totaly different. I sign out around two weeks ago but BPF probably recived some information from CT that i signed up? I hope it wasn`t another footshoot (first was loan contract with BPF)...

I`ve get same letter from FOS. It took them 2 months to send me another mail... I`m getting stressed now. I should pay 5k to BPF till 05.06.10 to avoid interest. Waiting for any response about my `putting acc into dispute`. I hope they won`t add another 5k interest to my debt (what`s interesting on my credit story taken from Experian Credits my loan from BPF was equal to ammount of credit with all interest since i signed contract with Advent (but i choosed option `interest free if you pay back in 12months`) - that was hardly affecting me. I have `good` credit score but i was refused to get a loan becouse of it) ...

I asked Computeach would they send me all books and materials for rest of certificates if i won`t finish my studing within finishing date. They said they won`t provide any more materials unless i`ll pay for another period. So access to them fully depends on the progress of our education and if we'll fail with deadline date we won`t even get bloody books for which we paid as well....

So it was simmilar to Advent promisses. Of course it was to beatifull to be true. At this minut BPF is paying back/cancelling their loans. So keep positive ! We have chance to win too !

Thank You for your precious advice Bluedo. I signed in to Fuzzbutt action. But as i understand i should avoid further cooperation with FOS ? I was going to send tomorrow few letters: - first to BPF about putting my acc in dispute, - second to FOS, again with complaints but shown in the light of differences between Advent and Computeach, - third to Trading Standards I heard from somebody who had simillar problems that TS were realy helpfull (Fraser McKenzie students case (here`s their`s forum Welcome to Facebook | Facebook ), as o was told finaly most of the students have been refunded by BPF. I`ll try to get some more info and i`ll look into this forum for some more details later on, now i`m going to sleep after night shift .

Firstly i would like to say hello to everybody. I`m impressed about numbers of replys in this thread. It`s realy hard to get through it right to the end. I need to say THANK YOU to everybody who post some good advices, and GOOD work especialy for Fuzzbutt who is fighting on the first line of front for all of us. I started my MCSE a bit more than year ago and in about few days i should pay them back 4950 to avoid another 5000pounds of intereset. I started my complaint with financial ombudsman but they didn`t do too much (they`ve been sending form`s back to me twice with no positive result). Just today i`ve get a mail from BPF that they know about my complaint but they don`t agree and they found a new solution (Computeach) for this problem. However terms of their contracts are very bad for me (like limited time of study - i`m foreigner and studing in english takes me a bit more time as my language is not perfect). I agreed for Advent`s terms becouse of the fluent borders of the finishing date, possibility of passing exams in my town, or extra exams with no charge. Now i have a year to finish everything, if i won`t do it - i`ll loose it (or i can pay another 5k)... That`s a joke. At friday i`ll send another letter to FOS, and one to Barclays as well. Would it be enough if i will just write why i`m not happy (i`ll put in points differences between that what Advent offered to me and that what i`ve get with Computeach) and at the end i`ll just add something like that "Becouse of this facts i demand putting my account on dispute" ? Fuzzbutt i wrote a letter to You. I will be greatfull if You will add me to Your list. I`m realy happy that i found this forum. It was hard to stand against them on my own (with my language).
