  1. Londoncass won and got the cash from them too! Most probably because where their car was taken is an absolute goldmine for CES so they didn't want the hassle with londoncass screaming at the housing association about their clamper's ignoring the courts
  2. Do they need a license to remove cars? CES remove every car possible as quickly as possible!! Why extort £125 for just a clamp where if they can get the car off the site and extort £425 instead... Not heard from adthebad who was suing them a few months back?
  3. They can prepare what ever they like in any court ... it would always be transferred to your local court anyway.
  4. On the phone, I transferred from my old place to the new one, though I doubt I would have agreed to a 12month contract as I wasnt' staying that long! This is where the confusion lies, because I didn't pay the discounted rate to avoid the contract!
  5. Thanks for the advice.. I will take this up with BT. If I do owe BT money I will pay it to them.. Reading the posts I see that they have probably sold the debt to the DCA. As they've probably shoved on fees that I wont be paying, can the DCA take me to court or would that have to be BT? Final question... if it is a contract issue, does the fact that I was never sent any T&Cs or signed anything matter?
  6. Posted this in the utilities forum but realise this one might be better and can't move it so here it is.... hi, my partner received a letter the other day from moorcroft about an alleged debt. Apparently using a credit reference agency they have linked our current address to our old one. We don't have BT in our current house because they wanted £125 to connect and we didn't need a line that much!! We're pretty convinved we don't owe them anything because we paid by DD each month. The only thing we can think is that there was some confusion about us being in a 12 new month contract when we transferred our line to the old place (and then we moved out there after month 6). Do I ignore the letter and wait for them to go away after millions of red letters or do I contact them or BT and question this then put the matter into dispute. Is this moorcroft just putting out the bait and waiting for me to bite??!
