Hello, Thanks for reading and any advice for this. I cancelled my PPI, or so I thought and so I complained about this. During this I have realised may have been missold, I THINK i was a student and I also am sure that i thought at the time it would increase my ability to get a higher limit and be accepted on the credit card. BUT I cant remember the ins and outs of the PPI as it was quite a few years ago. I comlained to barclaycard (formely morgan stanley)and they have sent me a PPI Comlaint Customer Questionnaire - which asks questions such as how were you sold it, were you told about 30 day cancellation, what was your occupation etc. The thing is I can't 100% remember. I am pretty sure it was taken out when I got the credit card but I cant be certain. What is the best thing to do - apply for subject access request and not fill in the form? Or should I fill it in -as honestly as I can but because I am uncertain this may weaken my comlaint? Many many thanks for any help

Hi Just an update on this for everyone elses benefit.... I have done overtime for the last few months which has pushed my salary over the deferrment amount - even though I can provide evidence from my employer that i now earn under the deferrment amount - it is not sufficent . I must wait until I can send 3 months worth of pay slips to them proving it and be £107 a month worse off even though I have lost overtime and have a very tight budget. I will be in the make do an mend forum if anyone is looking for me

Hi Everyone, I have been looking at the threads and feel my issue is quite unique so hoping it is okay to start a new thread and ask for help. I am wondering what kind of claim I can make with barclaycard. I got a Morgan Stanley Crredit Card in 2001 - with PPI. I was a student here and also thought it would help my credit rating. In 2006 I changed addresses and cancelled PPI but MS asked for faxed copies of address etc before i changed it. I sent several faxes etc but they never recieved them. They froze my card due to returned mail - I have always maintained minimum payment although I cannot access account. When it transferred to Barclays I lost total access to the account (although I have a barclaycard in current address) and maintained minimum payment. I've since got in financial difficulty - my cedit cards increasing APR and me being an idiot and using them. I have been trying to access the account. I finally did at the end of March by entering a branch. the manager was lovely - I found out my balance was twice as much as expected at £3999. I have been payin mg PPI although I was sure I had cancelled it - and at £30 a month my balance has actually been going up even though I have maintained minimum payments and not used it in years. She logged a complaint on my behalf but when I called for an update they said they wouldn have a solution until end of May. Ideally my finances being what they are and the fact that I think they are evil how can I maximise this complaint? Any help is very very very appreciated

Hi, I've been looking at the posts and can't find a rsponse. I've recently started to sort my debt out after years of hiding my head in the sand. To help paying off my debt I have accepted temp overtime from my emplyer and I have been working in excess of 30 hours overtime for the last few months. The overtime ends on 1 June. The overtime has made me not suitable for deferemen - even though it will not be maintained and I will then be eligible for deferment on 1 June. I'm so worried about this that I will have to pay SLC - I have 3 loans and I think it will be over £100 a month. I just can't afford it. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hello, This is my first time posting, so I hope I am at the right place. I was the classic 'head in the sand' person for a few years over debt. For the last 10 months I have been sorting it slowly and live by a very tight budget. I had a Morgan Stanley credit card with PPI, which at the time I got because I thought it helped my credit rating. When I split up from my partner in 2006 I cancelled the PPI and tried several times to change my address as I moved out the area. they made it very difficlt for me to change address, I tried countless times but was unable to and reduced my payment to minimum payment. I never recieved a statement since 2006. The card then became a barclay card when morgan stanley were bought out. It was even more difficult for me to locate the card. I finally managed to access it by taken ID etc into barclays bank a few days ago. Then I found out I have been paying PPI every month. In addition to this I found out I opened the account in 2001 when I was a student who worked part time. The balance of the credit card is about the same as it was 4 years ago and I have bever used it. It is £3999 balance and I have been paying £87 a month without using it for 4 years. I need advice, my life would be so much more comfortable (v tight budget) if could write this off. I have written a formal complaint - can I reclaim anything? Thank you so much for any advice I recieve N
