Hi all, ive been away from this for quite some time, i would like to know if there are any template letters i could use to complain to BPF (I know should have done this in the first place) as i dont have Start or End dates on my application form. After which i can go to the FOS after the 8 week period if i dont get a response or if i dont get the right response. Many thanks Matt

Hi All, just wondering, how do you know if your part of the legal action that Fuzzbutt's set up? I sent my forms in around 2weeks i go i think and not heard anything from them? Thought i might get an email or something just letting me know they'd been recieved and im part of the action.

Yeah it was via Direct Debit, came directly out of my bank account. So i didnt use my Debit Card then, seems i got a little confused?

Hey guys, I didn't pay anything to Advent Directly, I paid BPF the full loan amount after the 1st year (To Avoid Interest) via my Direct Debit Card.

Well seems that im defintatley **** outta luck then as i paid with debit card, and it was obviously more than 120 days ago now that they went Bust!!

I'll be mailing my documents (Photocopies of) on monday, likewise i have no start or end date on my enrolment form either. Hopefully this could mean money back, could really do with that £6500 being back in my bank account!!

Im going to be mailing my documents to Hausfeld very soon, i dont think we personnally are going to get on joy alone doing this. Its ****ing absurd!! A computeach person whom i was mailing said you have to hit 90% on mock exams before your put into the exam bluedo, thats no doubt the reason for lots of people not getting there vouchers. I think tHE¦IZARDKING was right, they say it should take 2-3years to complete MCSE+CCNA however that would probably apply to people already working in the Industry. I still dont remember there being a two year contract to do all this!? Its nuts to assume we could have done that considering how much work is involved & it was mean't to be self paced study, if you could only commit a couple hours a day thats all you could do. On my enrolment form i've got (Blue Bit) i've got no Start Date nor End Date written on it.

Yeah think im gonna do that too, already printed out the two forms provided by Fuzzbutt. Just gotta photocopy my BPF agreement, and whatever else they wanted. I just don't get this two year contract buisness, i don't remeber agreeing to that! I mean how on earth was i supposed to get CompTIA, MCDST, MCSA, MCSE and CCNA in two years!!! I dont even work in IT. Its not like im a computer noob, its been a hobbie for a while now, so i knew these certs weren't gonna be easy or quick to complete. Its just been one big **** take from the start!

Had the money saved and thought it would be best so i didn't have to pay any interest. Guess i could be fecked. There basically saying that my contract ends in October of this year (only signed up with Advent around Oct 08 ) and after which i have to pay more to complete the course i signed up with!!! I've already paid the full £6500 last summer, why in HELL should i have to pay even more!!!

Perhaps your rite, i'll wait a while longer, See how all this progresses. I would much prefer my money back and do the cert's on my own, i really don't think its necessary to go through training providers anymore. All you get is a book to read, some practice exams then you book your test. Why do i need to pay some1 to do that lol Currently im on the MCDST portion of the course, got my CompTIA Certificate last year. Probably would have done my 1st DST exam by now to if not for the last 4 months!!

That sounds about rite, it amazes me how easy it seems for people to be getting away with these types of things. The Law really needs looking at i think if this is common practice amoung buisnesses. Wondering whether i should just now carry on with computeach, it seems highly unlikely i'll get anything back. Are the things regarding Computeach true i.e. You have to score 98% in a mock exam to get to then proper exam! That just sounds insane!! Other things like limited reseats (Should you score your 98% and get to take the proper exam) And your on a time limit, again this seems mad too, as its mean't to be self paced study, you study as and when you have time to. Granted it shouldn't take me a year to complete MCDST, however MCSA and MCSE will really put me under pressure, considering i dont even work in IT.

May give that a go, however there is no money so i doubt i can get anything out of it. Also i thought Advent went under Because BPF pulled funding!! Thus its BPF's fault we're all in this mess.

I wish i was in a position to cancel a DD i've already paid the full £6500 in fecking full!!! totally agree with this, those who want there money back or agreement cancelled should get it. Being palmed off like this is just out of order!

why'd they only send you one book? cant say i had that prob, soon as i passed an exam week or two later the next set of course material turned up

Yeah a couple differen't letters are probably going to be necessary. I for one am not paying by DD as i paid what i owed in full after the first year so's to avoid the obscene interest. Also people are on different courses, computeach may provide for one and not so well for another.

Just read the email myself, well just skimmed it really. Won't be logging in, need to find out what they offer in comparison to Advent. This talk of Test Centre's, they say that you can use PearsonVUE and Prometric so does that mean you dont have to go the there own center in birmingham like some have suggested? Just seems a little silly to have to. Not sure i like that fact you only get one shot at an exam too, not failed one yet, but it was only CompTIA, MCDST is harder for sure. Think i'll give em a ring tomorrow after work

I hope so, because it seems ultimately or at least for me im not getting the Goods and Servcies I've already paid for!! That must entitle me!! Cant believe how this has gone, i signed up because i was sick and tired of crap factory work and already had an interest in IT and that where i wanted to be. Was so happy when i started and its turned into a nightmare, all i wanted to do was better myself and provide myself with a better future. But as usual good hardworking people get stiffed!!
