Have also had Nationwide success. After much unsuccessful correspondence, I took my claim up with the Financial Ombudsman and have now agreed to accept a refund of all my back-charges - full amount. Nationwide still argue that their charges were fair, but are paying up!

Have been in correspondence with Nationwide for the past couple of months, had my pack from the Data Protection Team (Sam Orams), and am not yet feeling brave enough to go to Court!! However, am having one last go via the Financial Ombudsman and have completed a form (available online for printing off, although you can't send it electronically). Am I wasting my time here or is the Ombudsman service as impartial as it claims to be? Someone say something to encourage me here. I want several hundreds of pounds back from Nationwide!!
