Another update, ive just spoke to my bank and have asked them if they can block these companies taking payment but got told they cant as the debit card was used as a guarenteed card payment or summit like that so even though i have a new debit card they can still use my old card details to gain payment. can any1 else clarify if this is correct? the lady i spoke too also said that if i ring the companies and ask them not to take payment and then they do then the bank can step in and get the payment back, they also advised me to give citizens advice a ring as they can ring the companies themselves. Im only doing all this as im not 100percent sure my wages will go in my new account next week. can any1 clarify any of this, help is much appreciated. thanks

quick update, ive opened up another account but my wages department at work said they cant guarentee it will go in my new account so il just have to wait, yea i noticed that WDA reinstated the DD but il just keep cancelling. il update after the 29th, thanks again for the help, much appreciated

thanks robjam, i bank with lloyds tsb and have read storys that even though u get a new card and i have cancelled DD they can reinstate without me knowing and still take money from the old card, is this true? any1 know if you can change account number and sort code by just calling and asking?? ive recieved an email from quick quid saying urgent action required as ive cancelled the DD. do i email them now asking for payment plan or wait till i default?

im in the same boat, i default on mine in two weeks, ****ting meself about them taking money even though ive cancelled DD etc! ive reported my card lost and have cancelled all direct debits so now just gonna wait. this website is a massive help as ive found most of me answers that i need just reading every1 eles story. and i will be definetly be making a donation once im paid etc, does any1 know what payday express and cash genie are like once you default?? any help would be grateful

I was looking for a 3000 pound loan and i dont have the best credit history so i applied through these who have said ive been accepted etc etc and as soon as i make the approx 50pound payment they can pay me the loan within 3-5days.Obviously i dont want to pay the broker fee if this company are leading me on. Im new to this site and i would appreciate any feedback. thanks alot

Just thought id share my experience with CFO. i took out a £250 loan with them a few months back and had a little trouble paying it back, coudnt get hold of em for love nor money but they kept hassling me via emails and a couple of calls. everytime i tried to contact them i got no reply yet they still sent me letters telling me they were gonna add charges to the account etc etc. One day i was in when they rang my house phone and i set up a payment plan to pay in 2 installments...guess what, they never took the money!! again it took me a good few weeks to get hold of someone which in actual fact they got hold of me as i was getting no response, i told the guy on the phone that i had set up a plan and why wsnt it honoured by hemselves....system failure he told me! anyway i set up another plan to pay em in 2 installments and my 1st payment i made on the 23rd december....so i thought neway! the guy rang me on the 23rd and took my card details and told me the payment was successfull, the money did come out my bank but yesterday CFO put that money back into my account without me realising and i later withdrew money from my account, just checked my online banking tonight and CFO have just taken the money back but it has now left me overdrawn and im not happy, why take my money, put it back and then take it again, makes no sense to me. my final payment is supposed to come out on the 29th jan but after reading through this forum im worried they are gonna take more out after. i dont wanna have to change my bank as ive recently done that. Think watchdog need to get on the case!!
