  1. Ok Filed with money claim today all accepted for just over 4K, hope have done everything right have to wait n see now. A quick question do i now have to send another shcedule of charges to the halifax??
  2. Ok got offered a ridiculas amount to start off with and rejected it and had to send my lba a day later got a letter offering me £1500 of course i am gonna turn it down but do i really need to send them a letter rejecting it or can i just ignore it and file with court on the 9th nov as my lba states, just not sure if meant to respond or not??
  3. accept this as partial payment but insist you will still continie to persue the rest of the balance, do not sign anything and keep to all deadlines originally set whether they have made an offer or not, go to the halifax forum and there is examole cases just like yours to read!! good luck
  4. OK sorry for not being on for ages, have had all charges back from if and halifax, IF account was not too bad so am keeping that account, Halifax £3500!! have sent them the request for repayment letter today giving them 14 days and have the LBA all ready to be sent in two weeks all by recorded delivery of course, i may have made an error though, on the spreadsheet i have only claimed for the total for charges and not included interest on the spreadsheet, as i understand it i do not need to until doing the N1 is that right? Also because IF and Halifax are the same group are they likely to shut down my IF account too or as i would see it as they are 2 seperatly run opperations should not be able to do this?? Many thanks in advance:D

  6. Cheers for that, on me way to post box now!! let the fun begin!!
  7. OK, i have requested all transaction information on all my accounts, as yet i have not sent a DPA letter as i spoke to each bank telling them i needed all account info from last six years including all bank charges i have received so i can review my finances and financial past, " No problem Mr Barry will be with you within 7 days!!". Does this sound normal to you?? Was expecting not meant to do that! or other questioning but nothing!! OK costs a fiver but hey 7 days is better than 40!! anyone else gained the info they require so easily?? Also on the IF.com (same company really if you were not aware, based in same office as halifax card services) gonna claim back arrears on personal loan, is it just 'interest arrears' as well as direct debit refused charges i am entitled to claim or is there more? have checked the FAQ's n stuff but still not 100%. Wish me luck;)
  8. Thanks mate, will stick to the proven track and congrats!! One thing, did you send a cheque with first DPA? I do not have a cheque book so can i just say i am willing to accept £10 charge and charge me appropriatly??
  9. your local branch to begin with from what i can gather until you receive corraspondance from else where
  10. Thanks, one other thing, is it best to stick to the letter templates on this site or is it best to slightly personlise/addapt them to suit your own experience with the banks??
  11. Hi all, i have had massive charges over the years with Halifax Credit card and with my current account, i am just sending off a Data Protection act letter first of all to both divisions. I also used to bank with Intelligent Finance, a loan (still trying to pay this off thanks to charges) credit card and current account! These are both under the same company!! Is this going to make a difference?? Can i also still claim back charges from the loans?? Also the Data Protection letters asking for what i have been charged over the past 6 years do i just send these to my relevant branches?? sorry for all the Q's but really want to do this right and get my money back!! Ta in advance:D
  12. to be honest i think your account needs to be out of red to claim, if i was you i would clear overdraft change banks (will prob close your account anyway after claim) then continue with your claim
