I wonder if any of you Knowlegable people out there can be of help to me. the position I find myself in is this. Some two & a half years ago, Following one payment, I instructed the Abbey National , as was to stop paying any further payments to an umbrella agency. The Abbey National (now santandare) not only carried on with the DDs & mounted up my account that had hithertwo been in the black. They subsequently started sending me demand letters, for payments , which, due to their own lack of due dilegence forced my account deeply into the red. Of course, like most /all banks they refute all of my allegations. Then the demand letters Initially from moorcroft Dept collections, however, the type of letter I have started to get now is from a company called Wescot which is both more demanding & basically threatening heavy duty balifs etc. I have been on to both the CAB as well as the Financial Ombudsman services, who state that they are still investigating my case. I have wrote back to wescot stating this to be the case, however it is like "water off a ducks back" the letters from wescot are becoming a intimidating & frequent almost daily occurance which has now got me at my wits end. can any one suggest an appropriate letter with wording backed by the law which will in effect stop these legalised thugs from harrassing me until the FOS has reached its deliberations. As anyone out there knows only two well these thgs will stop at nothing in order to retrieve money for their clients even though an investigation is still ongoing. ANY help with these thugs would be really appriciated as this is now very close to harrassement. Many thanks Forum users.

First of all MANY, MANY, Thanks to scouse. Its people of your like, that make the world turn around alot better, As I stated in my thread re The "Moorcroft" Individuals. I got a letter back from them this morning basically full of veiled threats & what they are empowered to to. Having read the threads of those very much in the know on this site; much of what was advised as to what they say they will do ....they (moorcroft) were, & are true to form. I intend to re sent them the standard letter that was published stateing the legal wording & stating that should they continue in their highly illegal efforts in throwing up the proverbial churchillian salute I will be forced in regarding their active & ongoing attempts as what it is.... active harassment 1997 act. As stated, I will now be forwarding all of their bullying Type of letters to the OFT. If ANY one of you more experienced (SCOUSE) practitioners of this forum can "puppy" walk me through via any home grown experiences, one is NEVER to old to learn & heed sound advice...sorry about my spelling every one.Once again thanks.

Like most other people this group of thugs are already threatening me after they were so called instructed to act on behalf of abbey. I sent them one of the template letters enclosing the pound. I recieved a reply from the thugs today (as many of your contributers indeed said I would) However, as was indeed suggested they would, by many of your contributers they TWISTED the intent of £1 was for. I believe now that this firm of thugs will start a barrage of threatening letters simply just to wear me down. Dispaches also said that such companies also freely resort to this type of gestapo tactics.... ANY FURTHER ADVICE.
