Hi clare, Please refer to the bank templates library where you will see the prelim letter requesting your money back. As you already know by how much you've been robbed, send this to your bank & failing a reply then send the letter befor action. In such a relative short space of time these charges are criminal. Go get YOUR money back.

Please go to the citizens advice. They will help you here. However write to the baliffs & advise that you have made a reasonable offer which they should accept but also state you are seeking legal advice as to the position. Providing that the offer you have made is reasonable giving your personal circumstances then they have to accept this. Do speak to the CAB though.

Hi RazorC, Please read your policy carefully. Generally under a personal lines policy there will be a cancellation clause. If this was the first year of the policy then short period rates would apply which are usually based on a percentage of the annual premium. If as it appears, you entered the 8th month then I'm afraid the full premium is due. This is standard across the industry. Under FSA guidelines, when you took out the policy, the documentation & policy itself should show the cancellation guidelines. I'm afraid they are correct.
