Hi checked my credit report today and saw an enquiry form a company called Gothia. I googled them and they are a debt collection agency. Called them and they asked for my phone number and address (I declined), but gave them my name and they said nothing on file under that name. (they then asked for postcode again, so i declined again). Checked my credit report and have no defaults, or antything untoward. and have recieved nothing in the post regarding missed payments etc. But am now concerned that this may be something from my previous address (moved 1.75 years ago). Also may be coincidence but the other day my wife got a knock on the door from people she thought were doorstep sales people, all they asked was if we had a phone. When she said no they left. Is this linked and whats going on ??

Checked my credit report again, and have no defaults, have been advised of nothing in the post being late etc. But am now worried this could be something from my previous address (moved 1.75 yrs ago). Could be coincidence but my wife had a knock on the door from what she thought were doorstep sales people, who only asked if we had a landline (we don't) so they went away. Is this linked, and what's going on ??
