  1. Thanks mate i will get that letter off on saturday morning
  2. I have just received a letter from Revenue collection services debt collectors demanding a payment of £16818.37 this debt was a loan from the halifax and my last payment was in march 2004. Due to me splitting up with my girlfriend at the time and losing my job i could not afford to pay this loan. They said that despite previous attempts to obtain settlement i have chosen to withhold payment. If i do not contact them within 10 days they say that they are preparing papers to send to stenfield solicitors for issue into court proceddings. Im relly worried now because if they take me to court and my work find out i will lose my job. Do i ignore it and try and hang in there for 1 more year and then the 6 years will be up or do i contact them. please help
  3. Thanks mate you have been really helpfull
  4. have you heard of any of these debt collection companys getting court orders to do this? sorry im a bit confused about all of this. I was hoping it would all go away
  5. when i checked my creditfile last year it said that the debt had been partially settled. Should i make contact with them then as i have been reading on some posts that if you contact them then you have to wait another 6 years. Also can they contact my work about this debt to get money taken out my wages? I would lose my job if this happens
  6. How long is it before it is statue barred? this will have been 5 years this march. I'm pretty sure it was 2004 but it could have been 2003. Got myself into a lot of debt then. I have received letters from capquest ages ago regarding other debts then they sent me a statuary demand letter back in october but have never heard anything from them since
  7. Never with this company i had a loan with the halifax bank in 2003 and stopped paying in march 2004 due to me losing my job. The debt has obviously been passed to this company. It says the outstanding balance is £16818
  8. From this company saying Revenue Collection Services Debt Collectors in Sunbury on Thames, in lovely pink paper, the first letter states We have been appointed DCA on behalf of Southbank Capital Lttd reference an outstanding HBOS account and it then staates what is deffo a Credit Card Number that has still not been satisfied. blah blah blah about a Solicitor being involved etc This is a serious matter and dont ignore. On the second page which is just white it says PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A PAYMENT DEMAND On 13 November 2008 your credit loan account with London Scottish Finance Ltd was assigned to Southbank Capital Limited who are now the legal owners of the debt. This letter is to notify you that all future payments under your credit loan account are to be made to Revenue Collection Services and their contact details. What should i do? i have never heard from this company before. Do i ignore it? please help
