  1. Hi there I am subbing to this thread with interest as I have received illegible agreements from both Next and HSBC. When I have written back to them pointing out the illegibility and requesting something readable, I have received replies basically saying that they have complied with my request and that what they have sent me does comply with the CCA. I don't know whether just to keep writing letters back and forth, or what the next step should be really. Do you just wait for them to take you to court? Cheers!
  2. Hi there I wrote to request a CCA relating to an Amazon credit card issued by the Halifax several weeks ago, and initially received a general letter, thanking me for my complaint and advising that I would need to wait around 4 weeks for a response. When the 12 + 2 days was up, I sent them an "account in dispute" letter. I have now received a more detailed response from them, which does not include a signed agreement, just 2 sets of terms and conditions. I really don't know what to say to them in reply, as their letter seems to suggest that the rules don't apply to them! The letter says that they enclose "the required documentation to demonstrate a fully executed agreement" and that this constitutes statements (not actually enclosed), a copy of the agreement (not enclosed!!), and a copy of the terms and conditions - which was included in the contents of the envelope. They make reference to me not having queried any transactions on the account previously - but surely this is not a basis for them not complying with my request at this point? They also mention my application for the card, which they say has been provided to me previously - it hasn't! Finally, they state that the account being in dispute does not prohibit them from pursuing collection on the account - I thought that it did? They are currently bombarding me with phone calls at home, and they have sent a letter saying that a representative will be visiting as well (I have a copy of the doorstep visit letter ready for that just in case). I really don't know how to respond to them. Their bullying tactics are quite frightening and obsessive. Can anyone have a look at the letter and give me some ideas of what I can do next? I have put some links to the letter in photobucket below. Thank you so much, this is really horrible and stressful. http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt157/feelingthinner/halifax001.jpg http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt157/feelingthinner/halifax002.jpg
  3. Hi there Having requested a CCA from Simply Be, I was sent an unsigned CCA on which they had filled in my details. I sent them the "account in dispute" letter, and have since been receiving regular phone calls as well as the "your behaviour is unacceptable" letter - to which I did not reply. I have now received this letter from "S Beat", their solicitor - links to photobucket below, but even after reading through other peoples threads, I don't really know what to say to them in reply, if anything. Would anyone be kind enough to have a look and share their thoughts with me? Thanks, I really appreciate the help. http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt157/feelingthinner/simplybe001.jpg http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt157/feelingthinner/simplybe002.jpg
  4. Hi there Littlewoods have sent me a response to one of my CCA requests and have sent me an agreement http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt157/feelingthinner/littlewoodscca001.jpg It is signed by me, but has an old address on it, and I can't work out whether all the prescribed terms are there. Would anyone else be able to throw any light on it please? Thank you!
  5. Thanks so much for your replies. I shall send that letter today and update when I get a response. It's good to know I'm not on my own, Thanks again.
  6. Hi there This is my first post, so I feel strangely nervous , but here goes... I made a CCa request to HSBC and they have now sent me lots of photocopied t&cs and statements, as well what look to be faxed copies of an "agreement" One page has my signature on it, and there is another page which is headed "credit card agreement", but there is nothing to say they are linked. It doesn't help that they look like they are photocopies of faxes which makes them hard to read anyway. I have uploaded them to photobucket, so I was wondering whether any of you lovely people would be able to have a look & suggest any possible course of action? Is there a particular letter that I should send next? Or is what they have sent me ok? Thank you Natalie http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt157/feelingthinner/hsbc1-1.jpg http://i607.photobucket.com/albums/tt157/feelingthinner/hsbc2.jpg
