  1. I know you say that they will leave me alone, but my brother wants to pay this debt. He has since had a letter(5 days go) saying he owes £223 and that has now gone up to £490. They say they have been to my house but have left no note or letter or card. He is willing to pay the debt but they will not accept what is in the letter, and are adamant they have visited. He has no property for them to seize and after the phone call fiasco this morning, where they twice put the phone down on him for asking for charges breakdown, is tempted to cut and run......any advice would be useful. Loopy........
  2. My brother has had a letter from a bailiff saying that they have tried to collect goods from MY house as he was staying with me. He's rang TFL (who issued the original ticket (he's assuming)), but they can't give him any info as its been passed for collection. The collection agency can't give any information because its been passed to the bailiff and the bailiff's letter and a subsequent phone call to them doesn't say what the amount is or what its for. Very rude man said he won't make any arrangements for settlement. Wants goods or full payment but won't say what the amount is........Obviously there's nothing in my house belonging to my brother and he has no property that can be taken so where do we go from here? Any help will be much appreciated. Loopy.
  3. Just ring either head office or your local branch and get the number of the litigation department. They will have someone dealing with your case and go from there...... Loopy
  4. I answered your other post not realising you are with the Abbey. so the woolwich nos are no use to you. I would ring the person who has been replying to your letters and I'm almost positive they will settle. No one has been to an allocation hearing yet to my knowledge. good luck regards loopy
  5. if its this friday I'm surprised your bank hasn't paid up!! phone them and tell them its this friday and maybe they will settle immediately. Its unheard of for them to turn up........but if thats the case go back over this thread to Bankfodders entry and read that. It tells you everything. But I will still be surprised if you have to go. Mine was paid the week before. Good Luck.....( there's a phone no on my last entry back a page or so with the phone no to ring.....) maybe their offer has been lost in the post. Loopy.
  6. congrats Fullyskinted!! Hopefully mine is a few hours away too......ENJOY. Loopy..........
  7. I would have thought so too. He said he was passing the acceptance straight over to the woolwich this morning. I said I would cancel the court hearing when its in so I can wait another few hours...lol. Loopy......

  12. I'm gonna ring them some time this week. Looking back they usually start the ball rolling for a refund about 2 weeks before the date, so this falls in line and I didn't really expect to hear anything yet. Good luck and keep in touch just in case we have to go, but I doubt it. regards Loopy
  13. the more the merrier eh! although judging by the last one they got their money so we may be a few quid richer in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to that.
  14. Hi guys, I think, looking back at the posts that most of them got their money before the court sat. Mine has been allocated the 6th April for a case management conference so I'm hoping I will get my money before that too. kind regards Loopy
