Blemain Finance charged me collection costs to the tune of £1305 and £2030 when redeeming loans of £27000 and £52000. I wrote them for a breakdown and it consists mainly of telephone bills and letters costing £30 each. They stated that this was stated in the credit agreement when the loan was completed. I do not remember seeing any such tariff in the agreement and I have not got it in the agreement that I have. Has anyone hear heard of or seen any such tariff in their agreement with BF. Secondly does it not seem rather exorbitant to pay such for a telephone call or a letter? Can these be claimed to be penalty charges?

Midge do you have anything in your initial agreement stating that letters and telephone calls will be charged at the rate of £35.00 each?

Help with Payment Protection Loan Blemain Finance
bimfol replied to bimfol's topic in Home Repossessions
Thanks Dvdriley. The property was a buy to let. After they payed the 1st charge lender, the solicitors etc what they claim that I now owe is more than what they reposessed for. They now want to put that charge onto my residential property! -
have just registered with this site but had read a few forumns prior. i have several claims that I am hoping to make. The site seems extremely helpful. Please can someone advise me. In March 2006 I took out a loan of £22500 with Blemain Finance.I paid an extra £3742 for Payment Protection Loan. £2250 went to the broker and £619 the lenders arrangement. In February 2007 Blemain Finance which had the second charfge on the property, paid Kensington Mortgages (1st charge) £130,000 to cover their costs and then reposessed the property. Now they are saying that there is a shortfall of £32,000 and are taking me to court (this thursday) to enable them to put thethe charge on my residential poperty. I am thinking of writing them for refund of PPL charges. Is there anything else I can do? Please can someone advise
